Kerry whipped out a pathetically pandering line, saying, "I'm fascinated by rap and by hip-hop. I think there's a lot of poetry in it. There's a lot of anger, a lot of social energy in it, and I think you better listen to it pretty carefully because there's -- it's important." Just gag me with a spoon and end this! This is maximum pandering. It was a Sister Souljah moment that blew up. I mean, poetry? Quote some for us, senator.

I hate to be redundant, but as has often been said, greatness does not have to be defined, greatness does not have to be explained, and yet Kerry is constantly having to explain himself. His stature, his aura does not speak for itself, so he needs some assistance, he needs a rotten economy, needs the war to fall apart, needs a terrorist attack somewhere, needs a vice presidential running mate that will give him stature because, alone, he has none. Who will it be? Will it be the Democratic insiders'...
