Rush Babies Gaining on Boomers

RUSH: Jason in New Braunfels, Texas, you're first as we go to the phones. Hello.CALLER: Hey, Rush, how are you?RUSH: Just fine, sir. Thank you.CALLER: My question to you, I was thinking about what you said earlier, about how the consumers aren't playing along this time.RUSH: Yeah.CALLER: And I sense a real generational turning point out there where you hear all this stuff about the subprime mess and yet you hear about plasma TVs flying off the shelves at Wal-Mart, and the two can't be --...

Limbaugh Lesson: Vietnam vs. Iraq

RUSH: Here is Autumn, 16-years-old from Reno, Nevada. Hi, Autumn. Welcome to the program.CALLER: Hi. I was just calling, and I'm calling for my sister, Shasta, who is doing a paper on Vietnam and the differences between Vietnam and the Iraq war.RUSH: Oh, yes.CALLER: And she wants to know your opinions about it.RUSH: Before I give you my opinion so that you can give them to her, is she older or younger than you are?CALLER: She's older. She's in college.RUSH: She's in college. Where does...

Eco-Cruise Ship Hits Iceberg!

RUSH: I have to tell you a little story. Over the weekend, I had all the family in for Thanksgiving, and I was working at the same time. I'm on the computer, I'm checking to see what's happening, and I saw this story about a cruise ship that sank in the Antarctic Ocean after hitting an iceberg. The details of this were that some people were out on a cruise in the Antarctic, and they hit an iceberg, they were all rescued and so forth. So I made a note of that, and I'd run across this story that...

Unleash Israel and Win Peace

The only way some form of quiet will ever exist in the Middle East is if Israel is given the latitude to totally defeat its declared enemies. Only then will the terrorist attacks on Israel's civilians come to an end. Perpetual negotiations, diplomatic half measures, or land for peace deals will not bring peace to the Middle East. For those who believe this is an irresponsible notion, I use history as my guide.Today marks the 60th anniversary of Imperial Japan's unprovoked attack on Pearl Harbor,...

I Am Against Pollution (Sometimes)

RUSH: Brian in Manchester, Connecticut, welcome to the EIB Network. Hello.CALLER: Mega dittos, Rush.RUSH: Thank you.CALLER: I just had a quick comment on global warming.RUSH: Yeah?CALLER: I know that you have talked against it, but it makes it sound like you're for pollution, when you say there is no global warming, and I know you're not.RUSH: I said there's no manmade global warming.CALLER: Right. Right. I believe that the Earth travels in non... You know, like elliptical cycles, and...

Liberals Suddenly Discover the Democrats' Hope for Defeat in Iraq

RUSH: Marty Peretz, the founder of The New Republic, is saying something I've been saying for a long time. It's nice to see somebody else say it, particularly a Democrat. In fact, more and more left-wing commentators are beginning to say this. His headline, Marty Peretz, the New Republic: "'The Democrats, Hoping for Defeat' -- Is the war won? Probably not. Is it going much better for Iraq and for us? Certainly. This was certified by the big three-column headline in last Tuesday's New York...

George W. Bush Isn't Jimmy Carter

RUSH: I was expecting Joe from Allentown to talk about the Annapolis peace conference, whatever it is, whatever they're calling it, with his comparison of Bush to Jimmy Carter, which, frankly, is absurd. I found he wasn't talking about Middle East peace, because a lot of Republicans are livid with Bush over this, a lot of conservatives are just fit to be tied over Bush, because they think he's legacy-building just like Jimmy Carter did in the Middle East. But to compare Bush as a president with...

Conservatives: Doers, Not Whiners

RUSH: Joe in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Nice to have you on the EIB Network, sir. Hello.CALLER: Hi, Rush. How you doing?RUSH: Just fine, sir, never better.CALLER: First-time caller, I've been listening to you since the very beginning.RUSH: Thank you. I appreciate that.CALLER: Yes. My question was, you know, I've been voting since Jimmy Carter, and I voted for Jimmy Carter in the beginning, 'til my eyes were opened up when Ronald Reagan came in, but I've just been thinking lately that I'm...

The Upside to the Subprime Mess

RUSH: I want to explore the subprime issue for just a second. There is an upside to it, but it's a typical upside that I notice, and that is an opportunity for people of this country to learn something. I would not advocate this kind of mess as a teaching moment, but it has happened, and so it is a teaching moment. It lets you see how Congress fixes problems, or, more precisely, makes them worse. Okay, so we've got the subprime issue, and it's a mess, folks, and no one, no observer, no insider...

Clinton, Inc. Tries to Control Media

RUSH: This morning on Joe Scarborough's show on MSNBC, Mark Penn, who is Hillary Clinton's pollster appeared. You know, a Zogby Poll came out yesterday, and it showed that Hillary gets beat by every Republican candidate, from Huckabee, to Rudy, to Romney, to McCain. She gets beaten nationally by every one of them. Now, this is a poll that the Clintons don't like, so Mark Penn went on to discuss this today, and Scarborough said, "Hey, look, now, we've got polls coming out, the Zogby Poll that you...

Stack of Stuff Quick Hits Page

Story #1: Consumers Ignoring Drive-By Doom & GloomRUSH: What did we talk about yesterday, folks? We talked about how the Drive-By Media can take any news story and turn it into a disaster, such as the news today that the average home price has fallen 4.5% in the last measuring period, right? So this is supposed to be a cause for panic. "Oh, no! The subprime lending market is going down the tubes. Home prices are falling! Abu Dhabi is infusing cash into Citigroup! Oh, no! Oh, woe is us." Wait...
