Disgraceful, Insecure McCain Campaign Manipulated Bob Dole

RUSH: So by now, if you don't know that Bob Dole sent me a letter yesterday afternoon, then you haven't been paying attention. Here's the timeline on this. Senator Dole, for whom I have a tremendous amount of respect, sent me an e-mail that I received here at 2:35 p.m. yesterday afternoon. I assumed that it was a private e-mail and was going to reply to it later in the afternoon when I got home. By the way, Mike Allen of Politico.com, the headline: "Dole Scolds Limbaugh," there was no scolding...

Hope Is an Excuse for Not Trying

RUSH: You've heard me say it: "The most expensive thing we pay for in this country is ignorance." (sigh) Because of ignorance, Hillary Clinton's viable. Hillary Clinton's the least qualified. She has no business being anywhere near the Democrat Party nomination -- nowhere near it, for any of the right reasons. Zilch, zero, nada. For that matter, neither is Obama. But Obama's got this soaring, JFK-like, totally vapid, vapid rhetoric. "It makes me feel so good, Rush!" Fine. You want to feel good?...

McKinnon: No Anti-Obama Ads

RUSH: My memory was correct on Mark McKinnon, who's now running media for McCain, did the same thing for Bush, 2000, 2004. Something you might like to know about Mark McKinnon, and I've met him once. I don't know him that well, but he worked for Ann Richards, worked for Ma Richards. Mark McKinnon is a Democrat. And in 2000, by the way, the Bush campaign, he opposed doing any media on tax cuts, saying people don't care about tax cuts. So this is a guy that's instrumental in the McCain campaign....

Is It All El Rushbo's Fault?

RUSH: Mary, Pacifica, California, it's nice to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.CALLER: Oh, hi, Rush. I'm calling... First of all, I hope you don't take offense when I say this. But I listened to your program yesterday for the very first time in my life. I have been outside of the world of talk radio virtually all my life, but I called in because I want to just testify on your behalf, and the behalf of talk radio. RUSH: Now, why would I be offended? CALLER: I understand it's under attack....

Illegal Immigration and McCain

RUSH: Dan in Manalapan, New Jersey. Nice to have you, sir, on the EIB Network. Hello.CALLER: Hey, how you doing, Rush?RUSH: Great. Never better.CALLER: Good. Just calling to speak about irrelevancy because the Drive-Bys seem to be, you know, pronouncing you dead already, and I started listening to you in August. I'm 29 years old. I live in a liberal state of New Jersey. When I was in high school I was a Clinton supporter and, you know, now I see the light. I understand just where they're...

Rush Educates Moderate Caller

RUSH: Bill in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, it's great to have you here, sir. Hello.CALLER: Thank you, Rush. It's a pleasure to talk to you.RUSH: Yes.CALLER: I'm a 40-year registered Democrat. I'm not going to tell you I voted that way. I'm one of those guys that you talk about all the time. I guess you call them a moderate. I'm stuck in the middle.RUSH: No, you're a Democrat. You just said you're a Democrat.CALLER: (laughing) Oh, no. I voted Republican may more than I have Democrat, and I've...

It's February, Not November

RUSH: All right, Darrell in Sacramento, my adopted hometown. I'm glad you called, sir. Thank you very much for waiting.CALLER: Hey, Rush, how you doing?RUSH: Just fine, sir. Thanks.CALLER: Yeah, this is Darrell from Sacramento. I've listened to you since 1992 when Bush ran against Clinton the first time.RUSH: I appreciate that. CALLER: Anyway, I was just wondering if there's a good chance that John McCain is going to be the nominee tomorrow, are you going to be able to get behind him this...

Drive-By Media Will Never Get It: Doomsday Tuesday for Limbaugh?

RUSH: This is from a hodgepodge of similar sound bites. Carol Costello on CNN, who basically says that today is super doomsday for Rush Limbaugh. This is from yesterday afternoon, The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer. We have a montage here of Carol Costello's report on McCain, talk radio, and Super Tuesday.COSTELLO: If you're John McCain, the talk on talk radio is pretty darn vile. Super Tuesday is shaping up to be more like super doomsday for conservative talkers.RUSH ARCHIVE: McCain will...

A Warning to Those in the Central, Mountain and Pacific Time Zones

RUSH: I want to advise you people in the Central, Mountain, and Western time zones of something that's going to happen tonight as you turn on your tubes and your TVs to watch election returns on Super Tuesday. Senator McCain is most likely going to win a lot of the early winner take all states in the East. The Drive-By Media will play this up as big as you have seen anything played up. "McCain sweeping to victory tonight in the East, look at what's happening here, Tim." "Yes, Tom, we see this...

Analyzing McCain's Endorsements

RUSH: I'm still struck by Senator McCain's attack on Mitt Romney today. Mitt Romney simply said, in response to the letter that Bob Dole sent me, he could think of somebody better to send the letter than Dole. What he meant was, "Hey, Dole ran a campaign like you're running, big military guy, war hero, against a Clinton. We lost that one. It's probably going to happen again." McCain retorts, "Romney ought to apologize, Romney never served in the military," blah, blah. I want to issue this...

Join Rush 24/7 NOW!"Bob Dole is something that John McCain is not: He's a loyal Republican.""Senator McCain is resorting to the same kind of politics as Hillary Clinton: Every challenge to him is said to be a challenge to his military record -- Hillary uses her gender the same way.""I just checked the ABC News website.
