RUSH: Let’s talk about Hillary and secretary of state. Very, very brilliant move. You know the old adage keep your friends close, your enemies closer? This is a textbook case of keeping your enemies closer. He’s also going to appoint Clinton as an envoy to the world or the Middle East or somewhere. I don’t know, gets him out of the country. You know, gets him over there. But Hillary as secretary of state, people are asking, ‘What are her qualifications for secretary of state?’ Doesn’t matter, folks. Obama’s going to run the foreign policy in the country anyway. Look it, he is an authoritarian figure. He’s not a delegator. He’ll delegate the chump change stuff, but he’s got passions. He has genuine passions and policy ideas that fly in the face of the way the country was founded, and in those areas where he can change as much of this country as possible — and ‘change’ was his campaign byword, slogan — Mrs. Clinton as secretary of state is not about Mrs. Clinton as secretary of state. And it’s not about any deal they might have made. It’s about making it impossible for her to run for the presidency again in 2012.

You might be raising your eyebrow and saying, ‘Rush, how could that possibly be?’ Think ahead, now. If you want to run for president in 2012, you gotta start in two years. If you’re the secretary of state for two years, then you resign, you’re running against the incumbent and you were part of the cabinet? They’re figuring not even Hillary would do that, and even if she did, it wouldn’t be effective. I’ll tell you something else he doesn’t want. He does not want Hillary as the majority leader in the Senate. He does not want his number-one enemy as the majority leader in the Senate, number-one enemy in the Democrat Party in terms of his campaign enemy, campaign opponent. I’m sure that she’s probably sick and tired of being junior senator behind Chuck-U Schumer. I’m sure that Chuck-U Schumer would love to have her out of the Senate as well, get her out of the way. I think a lot of Democrats would love to have Hillary and Bill just out of the way. So you park her over at Foggy Bottom, you make him some sort of envoy, ambassador to the Middle East at large, and you wink at him and say, ‘Go ahead and charge for your speeches over there. We’ll let you fudge on that.’

The big stumbling block to this, apparently Obama has sent out a 63-page questionnaire to anybody who wants to work closely with him in any area of government that, you know, if McCain had sent this out, and if he had been elected president and sent this out, they would be trying to impeach McCain or forestall his inauguration. You talk about violation of privacy, human rights, civil rights, these questionnaires, I wouldn’t dare, I wouldn’t touch it. But a lot of these people are going to have to. And the question is can Clinton pass this? They’re working really hard here because Clinton won’t divulge any information about the donors or the structure and the operational aspects of the Clinton library and massage parlor in Little Rock. They’re also vetting the Clinton Global Initiative and they are vetting the Clinton Foundation. Now, this is something the Clintons did everything in the world they could to protect and hide. So I don’t know how that’s going to go, but if somehow they find a way to get Hillary past that — see, they’ve gotta find out if there’s any conflict. If there’s any conflict? See, the concern is that Bill may have been taking gazillions of dollars for speeches and other things, and who knows what he advised Hillary to do in the Senate as a result. So it may well be they’re going to find all kinds of conflicts.

Why would Mrs. Clinton want it? I don’t know. By the way, the latest news on this is that he is very seriously considering offering it to her, but I don’t think it’s been officially offered yet, has it? I don’t think it has. So a lot of trial balloons are out there right now. I don’t know why she would take it, other than she doesn’t want to be junior senator behind Chuck-U Schumer anymore and maybe the Supreme Court is not something that Obama has said is available, maybe that’s not on the table. So many rumors about this.

By the way, speaking of all this, the NAGs are beginning to get restless. Just as Mark Cuban is unhappy that there aren’t any entrepreneurs on Obama’s economic advisory team, this is from the Politico.com: ‘Early indications that men might dominate the hierarchy of Obama administration have women’s groups worried, even as a growing chorus of advisers reportedly pushes Hillary Rodham Clinton for secretary of state. ‘There’s definitely been a reaction to the few groups that have been named so far,’ said Kim Gandy, president of the National Organization for Women. ‘I agree with those who are concerned that it would have been nice to see more women.” You know, the guy that had the most diversified cabinet in the history of the country was George W. Bush, and they hated him. They still hate him. Amy Siskind, co-founder of The New Agenda, a nonpartisan women’s rights group founded by former Clinton supporters.’ (laughing) A Clinton support group, nonpartisan? At any rate, ‘It’s appropriate that Obama’s vetting Clinton, but she’s one women. We want to see parity in the representation of women in the Cabinet.”

The NAGs are also upset that Obama is considering seriously Larry Summers for Treasury secretary because they got him broomed at Harvard because of some comments he made about women and math and science. By the way, since when did parity become the new standard? I thought equal. I thought equality. What is this parity? At any rate, the NAGs are upset, they’re not happy about this. And for you NAGs out there, again ignorance is the most expensive commodity we have. Did you take note of how Michelle (My Belle) was treated during the campaign? After a couple of flub-ups when Michelle (My Belle) went out there and spoke her mind, and she said it’s first time in her life she’s been proud of the country and then she told these women in Zanesville, Ohio, to shut up and forget about working in big-paying jobs, don’t go to law firms, don’t go to Wall Street, stay there at the pancake house, you know, stay there in the nursing business, you know, we need people like you. Then she shut her up, duct tape on the mouth, put her in the closet, and we didn’t hear from her from, what was it, Brian, six weeks? I know you were paying attention. It had to be six weeks or so we didn’t hear from Michelle (My Belle). And then Obama had to go to Hawaii because his grandmother was dying, and they trotted Michelle — because this was the Friday before the election, was it not? Yes. Or the Thursday. So they trotted Michelle out, they took the duct tape off and they sent her out there to Indiana or someplace in Ohio, maybe, but there weren’t any cameras. There were microphones, but there weren’t any cameras.

And then on election night, the strangest thing, it was creepy, I mean it was really creepy. Obama walks out and shoving the two little girls out in front, come on, girls, come on, girls, and Michelle (My Belle) walks out in that dress, the red splotches on it there, and they wave and do the thing and then after about five minutes of that, bam, sends ’em backstage. Michelle (My Belle) and the two little girls are banished. Normally, you see the family up there, they’re all doting and the supporters are lined up. Nah-uh. This is all about Barry. And only after he had finished his sermon was Michelle (My Belle) permitted to come back to the stage but she had to share it with Plugs Biden and his wife. So you NAGs out there, my only point is here that you NAGs, you could have seen this, just like Mark Cuban could have seen that entrepreneurs equals individuals equals that ain’t flying in the Obama administration. You could have seen very plainly that the woman who is his best friend, quote, unquote, closest to him was banished with duct tape, was not even allowed to stand out there during the biggest night of their lives, his acceptance speech. And now you start crying (crying) because he’s only named potentially one woman to the cabinet?

These people are just idiots. These are the most discriminating, bigoted people around, American liberals. And, by the way, NAGs, you saw how Barry treated Hillary during the primaries. Little racism there, little sexism thrown in, and you are expecting, what is this now, parity? Parity is a sports team. Parity is the NFL. And, by the way, you know how parity works in the NFL? You punish the good teams. You put ’em low in the draft order, you give the worst teams a chance to pick the best players out of college and you rely on the fact that the teams that finish last have stupid front offices and make the wrong picks, and generally they do. The worst teams remain the worst teams. There are exceptions. These NAGs, I don’t get it. These things have been popping up throughout the Obama administration. All of these ribald supporters are going to be shocked.
