RUSH: Alan Grayson, Democrat, Florida, is back. Let’s go back to Tuesday night on the House floor.

GRAYSON: If you get sick, America, the Republican health care plan is this: Die quickly. That’s right. The Republicans want you to die quickly if you get sick. Remember, the Republican plan: Don’t get sick. And if you do get sick, die quickly.

RUSH: Alan Grayson. He’s from Orlando and he’s a Democrat. I never heard of him before this. Have you heard of him, Snerdley? Now everybody knows who he is, but there’s more to this. He went back yesterday on the House floor and added to it.

GRAYSON: I call upon all of us to do our jobs for the sake of America, for the sake of those dying people and their families. I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven’t voted sooner to end this Holocaust in America.

RUSH: It’s a Holocaust in America. Health care is the equivalent of a Holocaust in America. And this is a great example of projection. With Democrats, you die before you’re born! You don’t even get a chance at health care if the Democrats are in charge. Remember, life, liberty, pursuit of happiness. Life? Democrats? No way. Look at the number of abortions they are for and are responsible for. Liberty? No way. Tyranny. There’s no way they want liberty for anybody. It stands in the way of what they want. Pursuit of happiness? Does Grayson sound happy? I went and did a Wikipedia search on this guy because I’ve never heard of him. And it’s sort of funny. I thought maybe old Alan had played football and was now in dementia because the New York Times had a story, NFL players suffering dementia, I thought maybe he’d be an NFL player, was losing his mind out there, but he’s too much of a liberal to ever have competed in anything.

Now, listen to his Wikipedia entry. And, by the way, this paragraph I’m going to read to you is the longest paragraph in the section devoted to his legislative history. It’s the longest paragraph. ‘Grayson is married to Lolita Grayson. They have five children, Skye, Star, Sage, Storm, and Stone.’ And they laughed at Sarah Palin for the way she named her kids. This is the paragraph that describes his legislative track record of history: ‘In early 2009, Grayson responded to comments by talk radio personality Rush Limbaugh, in which Limbaugh stated that he wanted the policies of President Barack Obama ‘to fail.” Most of this paragraph is about me, is my point. They recite verbatim what I meant when I said I wanted Obama to fail: ‘Look, what he’s talking about is the absorption of as much of the private sector by the US government as possible, from the banking business, to the mortgage industry, the automobile business, to health care. I do not want the government in charge of all of these things. I don’t want this to work. So I’m thinking of replying to the guy, ‘Okay, I’ll send you a response, but I don’t need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails.’…’] by saying, ‘Rush Limbaugh is a has-been hypocrite loser, who craves attention. His right-wing lunacy sounds like Mikhail Gorbachev, extolling the virtues of communism. Limbaugh actually was more lucid when he was a drug addict. If America ever did 1% of what he wanted us to do, then we’d all need pain killers.’

This is in his legislative paragraph, this is the number one entry, this is the highlight of Grayson’s legislative career is what he has said in reaction to me. ‘On March 3 of that year, satirizing incidents in which prominent Republican officials (including Republican National Committee Chairman Michael S. Steele) were forced to apologize to Limbaugh for criticizing him, Grayson released a second statement, in which he said, ‘I’m sorry Limbaugh called for harsh sentences for drug addicts while he was a drug addict. I’m also sorry that he’s bent on seeing America fail. And I’m sorry that Limbaugh is one sorry excuse for a human being.” That’s Alan Grayson, Democrat, Orlando, and that’s the paragraph from his legislative history at Wikipedia. It’s all about me and I never heard of the guy. I never heard of the guy ’til his lunatic rant about Republicans: ‘If you get sick, die quickly,’ and now apologizing to the dead and their families we haven’t voted sooner to end this Holocaust in America, meaning the lack of nationalized health care.

And again, folks, I hope these people keep talking, I hope they just keep talking, and I hope we’re able to amplify them. This is lunacy on parade. They are so arrogant and cocky they’re telling us exactly who they are, some of them are, and Grayson certainly is. But, again, I want to caution you, he says that we Republicans want people to get sick and die quickly. Richard Lamm, 1984, Democrat governor, Colorado, ‘Old people have a duty to die and get out of the way.’ Newsweek magazine, 25 years later, ‘The Case for Pulling the Plug on Granny.’ Then he goes out and says that lack of national health care is a Holocaust while he apologizes to the dead, does this guy have a line to the dead? Do the dead listen to this guy? He apologizes to the dead and their families that we haven’t ended this Holocaust. I just want to remind everybody that Democrats kill people before they’re even born.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Brooklyn first, Ruthy great to have you on the EIB Network hello.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. How are you?

RUSH: Great. Thank you.

CALLER: Mega dittos from me and my eight Rush Babies. I just wanted to tell you because I was listening and you were mentioning the Holocaust and health care and you’re always saying how words mean things.

RUSH: That’s right, I do.

CALLER: And you have people saying Holocaust that is health care throwing out the word Nazi and Hitler, and this morning on the news they were saying that Afghanistan is Vietnam. They don’t realize what a Holocaust is, what Nazi is, and you’re always saying, words mean things. You can’t just throw out words and not understand what you’re saying.

RUSH: Well, no, you can, and they do. I mean this is the point. Now, here we have Nancy Pelosi who really got all this started by calling half of Americans Nazis who were showing up at congressional town hall meetings. And then you had the White House describe these people as unruly mobs, then you had the White House dispatch union thugs and start beating up people at town hall meetings, beating up young black conservatives in one case in St. Louis. You have all that going on. I mean this guy, Grayson, clearly an order of fries short of a Happy Meal. The guy is obviously not all there. To compare anything in this country to the Holocaust — of course when I endeavored to intellectually and properly explain the similarities between the National Socialism of Germany and Obama’s health care plan, then they said, ‘You can’t do that, why, Hitler, six million people were killed, you can’t compare.’ No, no, no, I’m not. A lot of stuff happened before the Holocaust and just because the Holocaust happened doesn’t mean we have to ignore everything else Hitler was about and just as Obama is doing, Hitler — well, even prior to Hitler, German socialists attempted to remake and order their country using health care as the springboard and the foundation.

Same thing that’s happening here. Hitler was a man of the left. Nazi is simply the term for the national socialists of Germany. They have far more in common, the national socialists and their domestic policies, short of the Holocaust, have far more in common with what Obama is doing than with anybody on the right. So when we make this comparison, after Pelosi calls us all Nazis, ‘All right, you want to call us Nazis, let’s do a comparison, Ms. Pelosi, let’s see really who is closer to the national socialists of Germany.’ So we do that and all of a sudden, ‘You can’t.’ Now we’ve got a guy, a Democrat on the floor of the House, comparing Republican desires on health care to the Holocaust. Now, the Holocaust, six million people were murdered on the basis of their religion. There is nothing comparable to that in this country ever. There are not people dying in this country because they don’t have health insurance. There are people who have health insurance who die. Now, this guy’s running around saying that the Republican Party is running a Holocaust here and that we’re the ones that want people to die.

We are the ones who get tarred and feathered because we’re pro-life, for crying out loud! Pro-life gets tarred and feathered and impugned and ripped to shreds, and it has been my whole life. Pro-lifers are said to be hicks, hayseeds, a bunch of religious fanatics and so forth. We still sand up for the proposition that all men are created equal, that the spirit of our creation includes a yearning to be free. We’re the ones who stand up as pro-lifers, we’re the ones who take hits and we’ve got some wacko Democrat going to the floor of the House saying that we are running a Holocaust when in fact if there is a Holocaust in this country it is abortion, and there is a particular party that has been responsible for pushing it. And that would be, ahem, the Democrat Party. The closest thing we have to a Holocaust in this country is abortion, on demand, and now we got a health care bill where there will be taxpayer dollars used to facilitate abortion. This clown goes to the floor of the House to accuse us of what they have been doing since 1973. As I say, Democrats kill people before they’re born. So this guy’s an absolute lunatic.

Now, I remind you also that when Joe Wilson shouted ‘you lie’ to the president from the floor of the House, what happened? Well, a bunch of Republicans beat a path to the microphone, ‘Oh, no, that was wrong, oh, that was terrible, we think he should apologize,’ after he already apologized, ‘that’s just unseemly, that was uncivil, that’s not us, that’s not who we are.’ They ask Elijah Cummings about this Grayson guy, ‘Oh, yeah, he’s exactly right, I can’t say I disagree with him. I got a whole bunch of my constituents in Baltimore dying because they don’t have health insurance.’ They circle the wagons around their own lunatics. We throw our courageous people overboard. We dump our courageous people faster than people swat flies and mosquitoes at a backyard barbecue. But this is 180 degrees out of phase. Yeah, Snerdley, I will say it again, if there is a modern-day Holocaust in this country, it is abortion. And there is a particular party that promotes it and elects candidates and nominates judges on the basis of their position.

Now, I don’t want to be misunderstood here because I’m not trying to make any woman feel guilty about it. We’re talking strictly politics. But the truth is the truth. You know one thing I’ve found people say to me, ‘Boy, Rush, you’ve got guts, I mean you’re willing to –‘ no, I don’t have guts. Everybody else is scared. Everybody else is just scared to say things. You know, I say things that are the truth, they are simple, inarguable truths, and people think that I am using shock techniques. That is an illustration of just how far gone we are, when the truth becomes such a shock, or when somebody dares to express it, ‘Oh, whoa, that’s a shock,’ and then any conservative or Republican truth-sayer is then targeted for destruction, demonization, because the truth is the one thing that liberalism, socialism, fascism, whatever the hell you want to call it, cannot abide. So, yeah, words mean things. At the end of the day I hope this glittering jewel of colossal ignorance keeps piping up. I hope he keeps speaking. I hope he goes to floor of the House and keeps talking like this. The more he says, the more the American people are going to hear it, and the more Democrats that come out and defend him and agree with him, the more we’re going to tell the American people who they are.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Nancy Pelosi was asked about Alan Grayson. She said, ‘Apparently Republicans hold Democrats to a higher standard than they hold members of their own party. There’s no reason for Mr. Grayson to apologize. If anybody should apologize everybody should apologize.’ What’s that, if anyone should apologize, everybody should apologize? This woman’s an idiot, too, but there you go: Circling the wagons around Grayson. Hey, frankly, folks, I don’t think he should apologize either. I get caught up in all this silly notion, ‘Hey, you better apologize for saying that!’ He meant to say it. Why should he apologize? ‘But, Rush, he offended people.’ No, he meant to offend people. So why should he apologize? I don’t want the clown to apologize. I want him to keep talking. I want to encourage Mr. Grayson to keep telling it like it is.
