Hey, some hot news just infrom the AP: “The US poverty rate has skyrocketed by a record amount under the Obama administration.”
They’re not kidding it “skyrocketed”!When President Bush was in office, 13 percent of the US population lived in poverty. Now, after a year and a half of the Obama regime in power, 15 percent of the population– 45 million people, one in seven Americans– are now poor. This is the single worst performance in almost 50 years. The figures, by the way, come from new Census data.
What does it allmean? Well, I’ll tell you what it means. It means that while Obama and his Democrats were handing out bailouts to their Wall Street donors,you were getting poorer. When teachers and auto unions were getting their payoffs– more bailouts– you were getting poorer.
It means that while the White House continues to host non-stop gala concerts and parties, with gourmet food and drink and top-shelf entertainers for elite groups of their friends,and while Obama plays private games of basketball and golf with sports superstars,youwere getting poorer. While Moochelle was mooching off taxpayers for trips to Spain with 40 close friends,you were getting poorer.
The left is fond of saying “the rich get richer while the poor get poorer.” Let’s be more accurate. When liberals get power,the poor get poorer –and there are more of them. The numbers, my friends, do not lie.
