RUSH: We have the audio of Bev Perdue suggesting the elections be canceled and she's not joking, as you will hear, and it's quite interesting.  The Democrats, the more they get in trouble, and the more that things unravel, the more they show us who they really are.  She's not the first one suggesting we cancel the elections.

RUSH: When you talk about the Republican establishment -- and you've read their pieces today -- you know what I'm talking about: The columnists, the magazine directors, editors, publishers, whatever, they are reaching and searching for a counter to the conservatives.

RUSH: Obama wasn't ready, says Tina Brown, social doyenne of New York.

RUSH: Do we want to say, "Okay, we'll give you health care in ten years instead of next year?"  Or, "Okay, you can have half of the tax increases." 

CALLER: Thank you, Rush. Yeah, I feel Chris Christie would be a great candidate. I heard his speech --

RUSH: Better than Obama! Don't anybody misunderstand me here, now. Any one of these people over Obama any day with no thought.

RUSH: You don't prune weeds, and this health care bill is nothing but a bunch of weeds. You have to get rid of weeds at the root level, and that's what's gonna have to happen.

RUSH:  I don't think anybody cared about independents 'til Ronaldus Magnus came around. I don't remember the media ever talking about independents until the Reagan elections, because in every election the independents numbered about 20 to 22%.  Reagan got 34%.
