RUSH: The mainstream media has launched an unconscionable, racially stereotypical attack on an independent, self-reliant conservative black, because for him that behavior is not allowed.
RUSH: This next one, you gotta be yanking my chain -- or maybe your own chain.
RUSH: Mad Michelle this week popped down to Davis Island, Fla., to hobnob with the very people her husband despises -- the 1 percent.
CALLER: Are we sure this attack on Herman Cain isn't coming from a Republican presidential candidate's camp?
RUSH: It's possible we were talking about the subprime mortgage crisis as far back as '98.

RUSH: If Herman Cain was a Democrat, that's all we would know is who the women are. The media already would have destroyed them. They'd have plastered their pictures all over. They woulda been trashed and called sluts and hos and who knows what else.

CALLER: You know, you won't kill polar bears or anything drinking your beverage.
RUSH: That's true. I have to hand it to you: That's another positive about Two If By Tea. There is not one aspect of it that is environmentally destructive. Quite the opposite. Our tea does not emit carbon, pure and simple. We can't be destroying ozone or anything else. All we do with our tea is bring smiles of pleasure and enjoyment.

RUSH: I read Walter Isaacson's biography of Steve Jobs. I sent Isaacson two e-mails in the middle of reading the biography, just sharing with him my reaction to it, the impact that it had on me -- which was profound. And like everybody else I'm intrigued by this, too, "Oh, wow! Oh, wow! Oh, wow!" What did he see? I did say I felt shortchanged I never had a chance to meet him.

RUSH: Somebody just asked me in an e-mail, "Do you get tired of people should-ing you all the time?" Meaning, "Rush, you should do that and you should do that." Nah. Sometimes it does, but most of the time it doesn't. I understand the singular hope people have in me to save the country, and I'm up to it.
In Oakland, a mob of protesters tagged buildings with “anti-police slogans” and broke a window at a police recruiting station. Thanks to law enforcement restraint, serious violence was averted. The Occupy Oakland protesters want to shut the city down this week.
