Obama Visits Master Lock
RUSH:  My friends, Obama made a campaign appearance at the Master Lock company in Milwaukee. He's gonna crow about how well Master Lock has been doing over the last few years. Now, this ought not surprise anybody. Look at all the businesses that have been boarded up, all the businesses have gone bankrupt, all the foreclosed homes. When that happens, you've gotta lock the place. So Master Lock is doing big business because of all the economic destruction. Obama goes in, he wants to hail it.

Christie to Fly Flags at Half Staff for Whitney Houston
RUSH: Tina in Homer Glen, Illinois called to say, "I believe the news that you wanted to talk about earlier was the announcement that Governor of New Jersey, Christie, has decided to fly the flags at half-mast in New Jersey." That's what it was. That's what I had seen. I did not read that Governor Christie was doing it. I'm sure he did; he's the governor. I just saw that flags were to be at half staff in New Jersey because of the death of Whitney Houston. Yep, I was astounded. Tina said, "When did we become to revere drug addiction and alcoholism? What are we teaching our children?" I told her, well, that's not what's going on here. She laughed and said, "Yes, it is. I think it is very blatantly! When we put the flags at half-mast that's when you revere someone."

If you could get Governor Christie alone in a room and assure him that what he was going to say would not go beyond the room, what he would tell you is there are a lot of people who will vote for him because he's doing this. The pop culture people, the people we've been talking about, people still watching coverage of her death. They're voters, they're potential voters. They did this for Frank Sinatra. When Frank Sinatra died the flag flew at half staff in New Jersey." Tina's retort to that is, "But he didn't die under the same sort of circumstances!" Look, I'm really treading very lightly here. Look, nobody's gonna admit here that what they're doing is lionizing alcoholism and drug abuse.

They're honoring a great performer who sang the National Anthem better than anybody has ever sang it, and there are a lot of people that vote, who will be moved by this decision. I'm not saying Tina shouldn't be "appalled." Don't misunderstand. I just seems like your reason is a little... I understand how you think that. I just think the reason this is being done is political. That's all. Yes, I'm very cynical, folks. Chris Christie said, "Whitney Houston is an important part of the fabric and the cultural fabric of this state, her accomplishments and her life were a source of great pride." That's what he said. He's focusing on her accomplishments, not her demons. Pure and simple.

Obama to Break Ground for Black Museum
RUSH: Speaking of pandering for votes, from the Washington Examiner: "Obama to Break Ground for National Black Museum." It is Black History Month, is it not? It is. I knew that. See, I know black history. I know what Black History Month is. So I can't possibly be a racist. They can't ever say that about me ever again!

Gallup: Unemployment at 9%
RUSH: Gallup is reporting in their own surveys that the unemployment rate is 9%. Now, what's interesting about that is Gallup, as a leading indicator, has had unemployment for the most part lower than federal unemployment over the past six months. Gallup would come out with their number, and it would be lower, and everybody would think, "Wow! Wow! Maybe the Bureau of Labor Statistics number, the Department of Labor unemployment number is gonna come down, too." Now Gallup says 9% unemployment and 19.1% underemployed. And the regime has warned people that the unemployment rate might fluctuate back up.

Obama Motors to Eliminate Pensions for Salaried Workers
RUSH: Gasoline prices are headed for $4 or $5 dollars a gallon, and get this. This is from CNBC. "General Motors..." which is Obama Motors, owned by the UAW. Don't forget that. United Auto Workers. A union owns General Motors. "General Motors is ending pension contributions for 19,000 salaried workers. The affected employees will be switched over to a 401(k) plan." Now, I'm assuming "salaried workers" are not members of the UAW. Yes, in fact, we just checked on that, ladies and gentlemen. Salaried workers are not in the United Auto Workers pension plan. So General Motors' owners, the United Auto Workers, are ending the pensions of the white-collar workers. Don't tell me this is not get-even-with-'em-ism. Don't tell me that this is not a bunch of decades-old grievances being dealt with here. That's exactly what is going on here nationwide and within Obama Motors.

Megadeth Frontman for Santorum
RUSH: And then there's this from The Politico.  Dave Mustaine is the leader of the heavy metal band Megadeth.  Dave Mustaine has decided he's voting for Rick Santorum.  You know why?  He said, "Earlier in the election, I was completely oblivious as to who Rick Santorum was, but when the dude went home to be with his daughter when she was sick, that was very commendable." Mustaine mentioned this to MusicRadar.com.  "You know, I think Santorum has some presidential qualities, and I'm hoping that if it does come down to it, we'll see a Republican in the White House... and that it's Rick Santorum."  So the lead singer of Megadeth, supports Santorum because he went home to see his daughter.

Santorum Ad Depicts Romney Shooting Mud, Quotes Us
RUSH: Santorum's got a new ad out.  He's got a new name for Romney called Rombo, and Romney is a character in the ad and he runs around firing mud from a shotgun or some kind of a rifle, firing mud at cardboard cutouts of Rick Santorum.  It's hilarious.  It's a hilarious ad suggesting that Rombo is engaging in dirty tactics, firing mud from a rifle at cutouts of Santorum.
