Home Sales Fall 5.5%
RUSH: I just got a little economic blurb here. "Home Sales Fall 5.5%," a pending report. "Home Sales Fall 5.5%." "Home Values Dropped 2% Again Earlier This Week." "Home Sales Fall 5.5%." I thought they told us it was all coming back. We hit the bottom and turned the corner and back from the brink and all that stuff. "Home Sales Fall 5.5%." That must go along with all the brand-new jobs being created.
Pennsylvania Democrat Switches Parties Over Obama Gay Marriage Stance
RUSH: "Democratic party activists will see her sequined dresses at state committee meetings no more. Jo Ann Nardelli, President and founder of the Blair County Federation of Democratic Women and a state committeewoman, has defected to the GOP. The final straw? President Obama's support for gay marriage. In a letter of resignation to the PA Democratic party, Nardelli cited her Catholic faith.
"'I respect all of you and all that I have achieved in the past. Due to personal matters and faith beliefs at this time, it is only fair to resign,' she wrote. 'I will miss you all very much as you are all a part of my family; however, it is time to move forward with my life in a direction that is more in line with my faith.' She announced her decision at a press conference at the courthouse in Hollidaysburg Wednesday where, according to Blair GOP Chair A.C. Stickel, she explicitly cited the President's recent announcement of support for gay marriage" as the reason she's leaving the Democrat Party.
So it seems that Obama's war on the Catholic Church has driven a Democrat woman out of the party. Had you heard about this? No. I didn't, either. I hadn't heard about this. I just ran across this last night.
ABC/WaPo Poll: Romney Up with Women
RUSH: Say, folks, we got a pre-release here of the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll. We don't have any internals yet. They just threw this up on their website. "A sharp advance among women has boosted Mitt Romney to his highest favorability rating of the presidential campaign -- albeit still an unusually weak one -- while Barack Obama’s personal popularity has slipped.
"Obama still beats Romney in favorable ratings overall, by an 11-point margin. ... But that’s down from 21 points last month, giving Romney the better trajectory," meaning trend. But the big news is in women. Romney with significant gain. Latest ABC News/Washington Post poll. By the time we meet tomorrow, they might have published the internals, which is where the meat of any poll is.
