RUSH: To the audio sound bites we go, Elizabeth Warren. She was one of the featured speakers last night. She’s running for the Senate in Massachusetts. Now, as you listen to this, I want you to keep in mind Barack Obama has been president for three-and-a-half, almost four years now. Keep that in mind as you listen to this woman talk about how rotten things are. She’s a persuasive speaker. She totally convinced me things are terrible in America right now and that we really should not reelect Obama. She didn’t say that, but the conclusion is obvious. She indicts the economic circumstances in this country as well as you or I do — of course from her perspective. Let’s get started.

WARREN: People feel like the system is rigged against them. And here’s the painful part. They’re right. The system is rigged. Look around. Oil companies guzzle down billions in profits. Billionaires pay lower tax rates than their secretaries. And Wall Street CEOs, the same ones who wrecked our economy and destroyed millions of jobs, still strut around Congress, no shame, demanding favors and acting like we should thank them. Does anyone here have a problem with that?

RUSH: Now, this is really incredible. The system is rigged against ’em, and here’s the painful part, they’re right, the system is rigged. Well, who’s running the system? Obama’s running the system! And who is it that’s running cronyism and corporate cronyism with the government? It’s Obama. Ever heard of Solyndra? Anybody have a problem with that? And not just Solyndra. Anybody heard of any of the other failed solar energy companies that were essentially just donors to Obama who got some of the money back funding businesses that essentially do not exist. The solar panel industry is not a thriving business, corporate cronyism out the wazoo.

I’ll tell you system is rigged when 70% of the tax burden is paid by the top 2%. The system is rigged. Damn right it’s rigged, and 70% of taxes are paid by 2% of the people. Oil companies guzzle down billions in profits? How the hell can that be? Obama has tried to shut it down. Ever heard of the Keystone pipeline? Ever heard of the drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico? Oil companies are guzzling down profits? Well, who hasn’t done anything to stop that in the last three-and-a-half years? It’s as though Obama is running against an incumbent Republican. This woman is speaking as though the president today is a Republican and is in bed with all of these interests that are screwing people. And that didn’t happen except when Clinton was in the Oval Office. Ask Monica. Here’s the next bite.

WARREN: I talk to small business owners all across Massachusetts, and not one of them, not one made big bucks from the risky bets that brought down our economy.

RUSH: Small business owners all across Massachusetts, not one of them made any money from the risky bets. What risky bets? The stimulus, maybe. Uh, unemployment compensation extended 99 weeks. Uh, national debt, $16 trillion. Uh, median family income falling $4,000, 51,000 to 47,000. What in the world is this woman talking about? “I talk to small business owners all across Massachusetts, and not one of them made money from the risky bets that brought down our economy”? Who’s running the economy? Let’s continue.

WARREN: I talk to nurses and programmers, salespeople and firefighters, people who bust their tails every day. And not one of them, not one stashes their money in the Cayman Islands to avoid paying their fair share of taxes. These folks don’t resent that someone else made more money. We’re Americans. We celebrate success. We just don’t want the game to be rigged.

RUSH: You do not celebrate success. Your whole campaign is based on resenting success. The entire Democrat Party is structured to punish success, or at least make your voters think you’re gonna punish success. Barack Obama has money invested in the Caymans. It’s been discovered some of his 401(k)s, some of his investments. A lot of people maybe don’t even know some of their money is invested in the Caymans. Fair share of taxes? Again, 70% of taxes being paid by 2%.

Massachusetts is run by whom? Who’s running Massachusetts right now, Ms. Warren? Wouldn’t that be a guy by the name of Deval Patrick who’s making an utter mess of the state? John Kerry stashes his money… uh, John Kerry’s wife stashes her money that Kerry dips into now and then in the Caymans. I’ll bet John Kerry has a slip for his yacht in the Caymans. Who’s running Massachusetts? Who’s running the United States, Ms. Warren? She really did. She made a great case for not voting for Barack Obama last night and didn’t have the sense to know what she was doing.

We still have two more bites from this babe.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: “Elizabeth Warren, who has railed against predatory banks and heartless foreclosures, took part in about a dozen Oklahoma real estate deals that netted her and her family hefty profits through maneuvers such as ‘flipping’ properties, records show.” It’s in the Boston Herald, folks. “A Herald review has found that the Democratic US Senate candidate rapidly bought and sold homes herself, loaned money at high interest rates to relatives and purchased foreclosed properties at bargain prices.” In a nutshell, Elizabeth Warren and her family and friends ripped off the poor and made profits on the backs of the middle class.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Okay, folks, it’s back now to Elizabeth Warren making the case for voting against Obama. She is ripping the conditions in this country. She’s ripping the economy. She’s ripping the way things are going. Everybody’s got the deck rigged against them. It’s as though the Republicans are in power, if you listen to this woman. It’s as though George Bush or some Republican is still president. It’s as though this is 2008 and they do not have power and they’re running to claim it. It’s amazing. Two more sound bites from this woman.

WARREN: Republicans say they don’t believe in government. Sure they do. They believe in government to help themselves and their powerful friends. After all, Mitt Romney’s the guy who said, corporations are people. No, Governor Romney, corporations are not people. People have hearts. They have kids. They get jobs. They get sick. They cry. They dance. They live. They love, and they die. And that matters. That matters, because we don’t run this country for corporations. We run it for people. And that’s why we need Barack Obama.

RUSH: Uh, maybe corporations are Indians. If they’re not people, what are they? I was smiling so big when this happened. I was smiling and I was hoping a lot of people were seeing this. Corporations aren’t people. You say the word “corporation” to a liberal, it is like showing Dracula the cross. You heard it, you heard it here. “No, Governor Romney, corporations are not people.” It’s the most amazing thing. Let’s go to sound bite 32. Let me take a little detour here. This is yesterday on Euro Pacific Capital, CEO Peter Schiff. He’s the CEO of Euro Pacific Capital, and he’s got a website where he does a, quote, unquote, radio show, SchiffRadio.com. He released a video showing him interviewing unidentified Democrats in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the convention. And here is a portion of it. You’ll hear this guy, Peter Schiff, three unidentified women, four men.

SCHIFF: Do we need corporate profits?

Unidentified Woman 1: Maybe we should just have corporate losses.

SCHIFF: You want to actually force corporations to lose money?

Unidentified Woman 1: Yeah, I think so.

SCHIFF: I want to ban those profits so that the workers can have higher wages and that the consumers can get lower prices.

Unidentified Man 1: That is obviously something I would be in favor in.

SCHIFF: Would you be in favor of a law that banned corporate profits?

Unidentified Man 2: Corporate profits?

SCHIFF: Profits, yeah.

Unidentified Man 2: Yes! Yes!

SCHIFF: What do you think happens with corporate profits?

Unidentified Woman 2: Um, they keep it and they get bigger and bigger.

SCHIFF: Would you support President Obama if he came out in favor of a law to ban corporate profits?

Unidentified Man 4: Yes.

Unidentified Woman 3: If youÂ’re talking just pure profit…

SCHIFF: Yeah, the stuff thatÂ’s left over for the greedy capitalists.

Unidentified Woman 3: I could actually support that.

RUSH: (laughing) That’s who they are. Jay Leno has smarter men on the street in his show. No, that’s not a made-up skit. I have been warning you people for 24 years this is who these people are. It’s not made up. Some of these people are delegates to the convention. This is not made up. This is who they are. Well, you just heard the cheers for Elizabeth Warren saying that corporations aren’t people. They hate corporations and they hate profit. I’ve been blue in the face. They don’t think anybody should make any money doing or selling anything, particularly health care. I’m telling you that’s gonna be the next attack, is on doctors. Why should there be any profit in healing the sick? In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s already being said by certain political people in certain parts of the country.

It’s who these people are. That is why they are a minority of the population. And they’re not smarter than everybody else, folks. They’re actually quite ignorant. They’re governed entirely by their emotions. They fall for branding. You know, I’m watching some of the convention last night, some of the absolutely irrational stuff said by some of the women last night that spoke. You would think that this was Saudi Arabia, the way they were talking about this country. It was astounding. At the moment, I said, “I gotta get on the phone to some liberals I know and say, ‘You think these people are smarter than George Bush?'” And what they would tell me, “They care. They care. Republicans don’t care about people.”

But I’m telling you: These people are a collection of genuine ignoramuses. They are morons. You give ’em half a chance, and they would ban profits. You heard it. I guarantee you, this one answer, “Well, all they do is just keep ’em and they get bigger and bigger.” That’s all they do: Keep it and get bigger and bigger. They don’t have the slightest understanding that without profits, there’s no business. It doesn’t stay open. There aren’t any jobs without profit. There aren’t any taxes without profits. There’s nothing without profits.

(New Castrati impression) “What about the nonprofits, Mr. Limbaugh? How in the world do you say that? It’s silly what you’re saying because the nonprofits are not for profit.” Nonprofits exist and feed off people who earn profits. Who the hell pays for the nonprofits? “Nonprofit” is a bunch of crap anyway. Not all of them, but I’m just telling you: The whole premise here that there’s some virtue in this stuff and there is no virtue in profit is just vile and ugly. But that’s who they are. That’s not a skit, Mr. Snerdley.

Back to Elizabeth Warren. Here’s our final Elizabeth Warren sound bite from her speech last night…

WARREN: President Obama believes in a country where we invest in education, in roads and bridges, in science, and in the future. So we can create new opportunities so the next kid can make it big and the kid after that and the kid after that. That’s what President Obama believes, and that’s how we build the economy of the future.

RUSH: This is unbelievable.

WARREN: An economy with more jobs and less debt.

RUSH: Yeah, where?

WARREN: We root it in fairness.

RUSH: Where?

WARREN: We grow it with opportunity, and we build it together!

RUSH: Where are the jobs, and where is the less debt? Everything the woman’s railing against has been happening for the past 3-1/2 years by her party. Her party is the architect of everything she’s railing against. “We root it in fairness, we grow it with opportunity, and we build it together”? One of the favorite things people are saying at this convention is we share the prosperity or we create the prosperity together. They don’t know what they’re talking about.
