RUSH: Whoa. Whoa. Hold onto your hats here, folks, according to Haaretz, the Daily Israeli newspaper, the White House has declined B.B. Netanyahu's request to meet with Obama during a UN conference in New York at the end of the month. The request came today. Netanyahu asked for a meeting with Obama. The White House turned him down.
Let's go back to the Democrat convention. A lot of people are focusing on the fact that the Democrats had a meltdown over the word God being reinserted in the party platform. But there was a second part of that. That was Jerusalem, the capital of Israel. I'll tell you who blew up at that. The Democrats have a sizeable contingent of Islamists, Muslims, Palestinians and so forth, and just plain liberals in their coalition. The Democrat Party is as anti-Israel as I've ever seen it. I think there is rampant anti-Semitism in elements of the Democrat Party. And here's Netanyahu, who has asked for a meeting with Obama during the United Nations conference week. And the White House said no. What did they try to tell us, that taking God and Jerusalem out of the party platform was a clerical error or something?
Folks, this Democrat Party, if any of you in this audience are part of the precious independent group of voters in this country, please be independent and open your eyes to the modern incarnation of the Democrat Party. This is a really radical group of people, all the way through. This is not your grandfather's Democrat Party. This is not your father's Democrat Party. It is a strikingly radically left leaning party. And they are getting by on branding. The whole notion that Democrats care and Republicans don't is all that's sustaining them. That and everybody who thinks Obama's a likable nice guy, historical figure, the first black president. But I'm telling you this party is made up of really... I don't know how else to say it. They're not nice. They're radical extremists. How do you tell the Prime Minister of Israel, "Don't have time for you, bud."? Strongest ally in the region, used to be.
And then, ladies and gentlemen, demonstrators have stormed the US embassy in Cairo and have ripped down the American flag. How is that Arab Spring working out for you? How is the spread and the love of democracy in the Middle East working out for you? The American flag was ripped down, and a black flag has been raised. They're shouting and screaming: "There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his messenger." And Obama tells Netanyahu to take a hike. Even those who are not independent, some of you who are just undecided, don't take my word for it. Open your minds and take a look at what's happening to our economy and listen as Obama promises a longer road and a harder path, meaning more of the same. And ask yourself, is this really what you want, and more of it?
Is this what you thought you were voting for? At some point you're going to have to conclude anything would be better. We've never seen this kind of radical progressivism. Woodrow Wilson might be competition, toss up 100 years ago, but that was then, this is now. FDR is a piker compared to what this guy's plans are.
RUSH: What happened? What happened? Obama went over and gave the Cairo speech. He celebrated the Arab Spring as an offshoot of his own campaign! They're ripping down the American flag -- and there are pictures of this, by the way. There are pictures of the American flag being ripped down. Netanyahu wants to meet with Obama and Obama says no. What's Netanyahu to do? I've got two ideas: He can either buy a pizzeria and ask Obama to come in for a fundraiser, or he can send a $3 donation to Anna Wintour and maybe end up having dinner at Sarah Jessica Parker's place where Obama will be or Clooney or wherever.
That's how you meet Obama: You pay him.
