RUSH: I just saw that Steve Sabol of NFL Films has passed away. I knew Steve Sabol. I don't have time to do justice in the remaining moments today, so I'll put that off 'til tomorrow, but Steve let me tag along on a couple Super Bowls to see what they do. From the pregame meal, all the way through the game, up in the press box, pregame, postgame. It was fascinating. I even appeared in a couple of NFL shows back when I was not a pariah in the NFL. He was a great guy. He really, really was. That's a shame.
He's had brain cancer for 18 months. His dad just got in the NFL Hall of Fame -- Ed Sabol, who founded NFL Films -- and Steve got to see that. So that's good.
