RUSH: So the Clinton Global Initiative is going on. The Clinton Global Initiative goes on every year same time that the UN goes on, and Clinton Global Initiative is Bill Clinton’s way of trying to repair the Lewinsky deal. Basically when all these world leaders come into town for the annual UN meeting, Clinton hits ’em up for donations, money, and so forth.

They have a little party and three days of speeches. Romney was there today and so was Hillary. Hillary dropped by the Clinton Global Initiative. You know, I think if these world leaders would fork over 40 grand, Obama would meet ’em. That’s what it costs to get your picture taken with him or attend an Obama fundraiser. So he could say, “Hey, Morsi, you want to meet me? Forty grand.”

Of course I’m not so sure that it’s Obama saying he doesn’t want to meet with these guys, and I’m serious about that. Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood guy, the president of Egypt, is making it clear: “Well, we’re kind of in the middle here between friend and ally.” Morsi has made it clear that he wants that filmmaker in jail. He wants something to happen to the filmmaker. He’s given other commands that Obama has not followed through on. He has not followed the orders, and so there’s no meeting.

But Hillary, I want you to listen to what she said. I’m just gonna read it to you. Annual meeting, Clinton Global Initiative. Hillary Clinton said yesterday… This according to the New York Times, and people were applauding and laughing while she said this. Quote: “You know, I’m out of American politics now.” What? The secretary of state’s out of American politics? When did that happen? I know it’s the objective, but let’s get real.

She says, “You know I’m out of American politics now, but it’s a fact that around the world the elites of every country are making money. There are rich people everywhere, and yet they don’t contribute to the growth of their own countries. They don’t invest in public schools. They don’t invest in public hospitals and other kinds of development internally.”

Really? Is that right?

Now, last time I was in New York I had to go visit somebody in the hospital, and it was named after somebody who donated the money to build the wing of the hospital. I think it was the Langone something or other, and then there’s the Perelman. These rich people are donating entire wings of hospitals. Yeah, they get their names on ’em, but what is she talking about here? The rich “don’t contribute to the growth of their own countries”?

Well, who the hell does, then?

“They don’t invest in public schools”? For those of you who think that Hillary would be far preferable to Obama, they’re both Alinskyites. They’re both radicals on the left. She’s just a big a fan of Alinsky. Her thesis or term paper, whatever, when she was at Wellesley was written on Alinsky. She’s a big fan. So who is it that pays the taxes that build the schools and the hospitals and all these other “development internally”?

What is this? The poor build these things? Is that what they do? The poor, the middle class, they’re the ones building everything? See, that’s the meme. Elizabeth Warren gets it started. (Obama impression) “The rich? You didn’t build that! You didn’t make that happen. Somebody else built the roads! Somebody else built the bridges.” And guess who it is? The downtrodden. Yep. People getting squished by the rich every day.

The downtrodden, they’re the ones that built the roads and bridges. They’re the ones that made it all possible. There’s Mrs. Clinton saying so at the Clinton Global Initiative to laughter and applause.
