RUSH: The hypocrisy is rich... They're not about diversity. They are about liberalism.
RUSH: Folks, my father would not believe my life... He would not believe that Ted Koppel would be blaming his son for the lack of anything getting done in Washington.
RUSH: The proverbial media-Democrat complex is hoping that I will come along and echo Bill Kristol and say, "You know what, I think everybody needs to pitch in. The rich shouldn't complain about a couple, three, additional percentage points on their taxes." And, in the process, they're hoping that I can undercut Grover Norquist. I don't know what they're thinking, but I steadfastly oppose tax increases.
RUSH: Conservatism is the answer to this. It always has been. It's not liberalism-lite. It's not sounding like 'em; it's not acting like them; it's not doing what they tell us we should do.
RUSH: His point is that there's a whole group of people out there just casually living their lives as though we are in the midst of the average American prosperity that you and I have all known, that they're not feeling any pain at all. They got their iPhones and they got their Internet surfing and they're watching YouTube and they're doing whatever they do, and they're not feeling any pain whatsoever.
RUSH: What are these people unhappy about? They just won the election. They ought to be dancing in the streets and happy. They're miserable.
RUSH: There is not yet ever been the person or the government or the system who can guarantee that everybody personally benefits at all times throughout their lives.
