Liberals on the DC Council, who haven’t a clue how to create jobs, decided that Walmart should pay every employee at least $12.50 per hour. A so-called “living wage.” Walmart responded that, if the law passed, they’d pull the plug on their stores.

RUSH: Try this, folks. This is just incredible. "Iowa City, Iowa -- The Iowa Supreme Court today stood by its ruling that a dentist acted legally when he fired an assistant because he found her too attractive and worried he would try to start an affair. Coming to the same conclusion as it did in December, the all-male court found that bosses can fire employees they see as threats to their marriages..."
RUSH: Now, how many people have been taken these things -- Prilosec, Nexium, Prevacid -- for heartburn, reflux, GERD, and now they find out they are exposing themselves, perhaps, to increased odds of heart disease?
RUSH: This is actually a very provocative piece on the Zimmerman case. It is found today in the American Spectator, one of my all-time favorite journals of opinion. It's written by a man named Daniel J. Flynn. It's about the Zimmerman case. And the headline of this piece is really good, and it's provocative itself. It gives you an indication what the story is about. "Two Males, No Men."
RUSH: Who made her the expert? Don't give me this first lady business. So what? Being first lady means that she is qualified to design a school lunch menu for the whole country?
CALLER: My question is a sidebar to the George Zimmerman trial: When ex-NFL star Aaron Hernandez comes up for trial, can we expect the mainstream media to refer to him as a "white Hispanic"?
RUSH: The idea of a bus tour through low-information communities, neighborhoods? Doing interviews, interviewing Kardashians and so forth? It sounds good, but that's actually the least effective way of spreading the word. It becomes a distraction.
RUSH: The Democrats have calculated that there's more value to them in leaving the interest rate at 6.8% and blaming that on the Republicans, because the Democrats know they're gonna get the votes of the youths, the college students anyway. So it's a double whammy. They keep the interest rate high and the Republicans get the blame for it.
RUSH: I'm just gonna tell you, folks, the media is invested in a guilty verdict with the max punishment possible. It's what they've been hoping for, planning for, trying to make sure happens since this whole case began. This case serves a lot of purposes. It's also an opportunity to make up for what went wrong in the Duke lacrosse case.
CALLER: I'm a state representative, District 14 in the state of Arizona, and about a month ago we passed out Obamacare under the darkest of night, and there's an effort to repeal that on the ballot, and we're being hamstrung. The other people out there are actually buying up the resources so this effort can go forward. It's called uraPC.org. We need 85,000 signatures at a minimum to get a ballot by September 13th.
