RUSH: Columbia, Maryland. We start with Jim. Great to have you on the EIB Network, sir. Hello.
CALLER: Hi. How are you?
RUSH: I am good. Thank you, sir.
CALLER: I wanted to ask you about the bipartisan 9/11 Commission. What happened to them? We never hear from them anymore. Remember, W couldn't pass wind and they wouldn't be on TV discussing how it affected national security.
RUSH: That's a good point.
CALLER: The stuff in Boston and Time's Square --
RUSH: That's an excellent point. Throughout the Iraq war, I mean, how many times, what was this guy's name, Timothy Roemer, he's one of the Democrats on the 9/11 Commission, you couldn't keep that guy off television, ripping Bush, ripping Cheney. Old Jim here is right. Now you don't see these people. And some of you may say, "Well, come on, Rush, the 9/11 Commission, I mean, 9/11 was 2001. We're way beyond that. Where's the Benghazi commission?" That's not the point. The point is we had some people, after 9/11, they formed a commission and supposedly gave us guidelines on how to prevent that from happening again and how to behave in the Middle East and how to comport ourselves so that we weren't attacked again. And here US vital interests are being laughed at, the supposed desires of the United States in areas of the Middle East are being ignored. We got a powder keg. He's exactly right out there.
What was that that just came in? Is that for me? I just love getting boxes. What is it? Just tell me real quick. Otherwise I'm gonna be distracted. Looks like an iMac box? Ooh, really? Can't be an iMac box. It's too narrow. Where's it from? Oh, it's a picture to you. Oh. I'm sure it's for me. Everything here is for me. We'll get to it.
Anyway, Jim has got a point, although, Jim, you may be interested in knowing the 9/11 Commission officially shut down in 2004. The 9/11 Commission officially closed on August 21st, 2004, and they issued their final report. But that didn't stop those people from showing up on TV every day during the Iraq war. And he's got a great question. Where are those people? 'Cause all they were doing was ripping American foreign policy. And by extension, Bush. Great point, Jim.
