The UK Daily Mail reports that, after a week of struggling to get past the Obamacare website obstacles, only 51,000 people have signed up. On the first day, a dismal 6,200 people were able to finish the process and become wards of the Obama health care scheme.
RUSH: Let's just get into this NBC/Wall Street Journal poll that just totally turned Washington upside down yesterday. I mean, it just dispirited every Republican who heard about it. And it ignited and made joyously happy every Democrat and every media person who heard about it.
RUSH: A successful business treats its best customers first, and does everything it can to hold onto them. The Republican Party is not doing that. The Republican Party is essentially trying to rid itself of its best customers because it doesn't like them.
RUSH: I don't care how you divvy it up, I don't care how you slice it up, the fact of the matter is that the American people are fed up with Washington. They're just fed up. They're fed up with Obama. They're fed up with the Democrats. They're fed up with the Republicans. They're fed up with everything. Nothing works. The difference is the Democrats get away with good intentions.
RUSH: They don't win everything! You know, George W. Bush was elected twice. Ronald Reagan was elected twice. They don't get everything they want. They can't make everybody love Obamacare. They still don't have their amnesty. And they've been trying like hell to get it. They're not winning everything. You've got to try to stay focused on the reality of things.
RUSH: In 1995 there was a government shutdown, Tanner, that was worse than this one. You were either just born or one year old in 1995. So you wouldn't remember it...Let me tell you about it because there's a key element to it, in fact, the way it ends that I really want you to know.
RUSH: The latest survey guru out there is Nate Silver, who left the New York Times and went to join ESPN. Nate Silver has accurately analyzed polling data and selected which polling data is accurate and has made accurate predictions based on it. His track record's pretty good. He is basically saying this NBC/Wall Street Journal poll doesn't mean anything, and particularly it doesn't mean anything about future elections.
RUSH: The Obamacare rollout has been an absolute disaster.
RUSH: The objective is to retake the Republican Party. That's what the Tea Party, that's what people are attempting to do, and they are in it for the long game. And it isn't just about 2014. And it isn't just about Obama.
RUSH: Cookie gave me a sound bite of Ted O'Baxter advocating this on his TV show last night, that's who it was, that it's going to implode. You know, focus on something else because it's going to implode and it isn't going to work. And you don't need to do anything.
