AIDS Advocates Upset with Obamacare Drug Package
RUSH:Right here in the Washington Post. "AIDS Advocates Say That Drug Coverage in Some Marketplace Plans is Inadequate." Now, this is a little story that's not getting a lot of attention.
You know it was the porn industry that determined whether Betamax or VHS was gonna be the dominant home videotape system, and it was the porn industry that chose Blu-ray over HD DVD. The porn industry determines a lot that you don't know about in the high-tech world. The AIDS community -- which is represented by massive leftist gay activists, donors and fundraisers -- if they are going to be out there speaking out against Obamacare, that could be momentous.
I mean, it's one thing for Joe Six-Pack in Oshkosh not to like it, but for a bunch of huge Obama-supporting fundraisers and donors to be upset with the drug package? And the drug package is, guess what? You're gonna end up probably having to buy your own drugs, under Obamacare. Now, I'm kind of torn on that because I think that ought to be the case anyway. I think everybody ought to be paying for their own prescriptions.
The idea that everybody else should pay for your prescriptions, that's just one of the problems. But nevertheless, what I think it doesn't matter. A lot of Americans have become accustomed to the idea that they are not supposed to pay for their prescriptions, that their insurance company will or the health plan will or whatever, and it is being learned now as part of Obamacare that there's much less coverage for drugs, prescriptions, and people are lived about this.
There's all kinds of things happening, effervescing out there beneath the surface that are about to boil over, that are not getting a lot of attention. They're in the news, but they're not getting a lot of attention because the warm-up act for Obama on the world stage of leadership is taking place in South Africa right now. That's by design, by the way. I mean, the Regime is taking great advantage of the events in South Africa, replacing on the front page the bad news about Obamacare.
But here on the EIB Network, you will continue to hear about all the continuing fallout about Obamacare.

Wife's Shopping Drives Chinese Husband to Shoe-icide
RUSH: Headline: "Man Leaps to His Death in Shopping Mall After Girlfriend Insists on More Shopping." For real. Here's the story. It's from China. "A 38-year-old man leaped to his death after an argument with his girlfriend who insisted they continue shopping. CCTV captured Tao Hsiao and his girlfriend in a mall in Xuzhou, Jiangsu province, east China where they had reportedly been shopping for five hours or so before he hit his limit.
"Eyewitnesses said Hsiao could be heard telling his girlfriend that they already had more bags than they could carry, but she insisted on hitting one more store where there was a sale on shoes. An eyewitness said: 'He told her she already had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a lifetime, and it was pointless buying any more. She started shouting at him, accusing him of being a skinflint, and of spoiling Christmas. It was a really heated argument.'
"The argument continued until Hsiao threw the bags on the floor and himself over the balcony, dropping seven stories to his death and smashing Christmas decorations on the way down. He was killed on impact. A spokesman for the mall said: 'His body was removed fairly quickly. He actually landed on one of the stalls below and then fell to the floor so although the store was damaged it meant he didn't hit anybody. This is a tragic incident, but this time of year can be very stressful for many people.'"
I guess so, if Tao Hsiao threw himself over the balcony along with his girlfriend's shopping bags. Shoe-icide is indeed what was happening here. (interruption) What, Mr. Snerdley? I don't know if she got the shoes or not. She probably went and continued shopping. Now, what we don't know, 'cause it says here, "The argument continued until Tao Hsiao through the bags on the floor and himself over the balcony." Now, it's hard to throw yourself over the balcony. This is a translation thing.
So what really happened? Did Tao Hsiao grab the bags and the weight of the bags took him with them, or did he commit shoe-icide? Did he throw the bags over in a fit of shopping rage, five hours, that's almost two football games, five hours, and he reached his limit. She wanted to hit one more store 'cause of a sale. He threw all the bags over, and there were more bags than they could carry, don't forget. More bags than they could carry. I'm kinda happy to know that ChiComs have this kind of money, but that's another thing. So Tao Hsiao throws himself overboard. I guess in western parlance, he jumped, in "throw himself overboard." I mean, I'd like to see that.
Or did the weight of the bags take him? Did he maybe get a hand caught in a handle, bags weighed a lot, and the bags took him? Maybe it wasn't shoe-icide as it appears. Oh, wait, the headline, "Man leaps to his death." So he was driven, he was driven to shoe-icide by shopping. It's a tough world out there, a tough world. And that just goes to show you, I mean, how long ago would it have been in China, a guy says, "That's enough, that's enough," and they woulda gone home?
McCain Denounces Castro Handshake
RUSH: John McCain has weighed in on Obama's Castro handshake. You know what he said? He says it's like shaking hands with Hitler.
"Public Radio International correspondent Todd Zwillich caught up with McCain in Washington, DC. later in the day and asked him about the unplanned meeting. 'It gives Raul some propaganda to continue to prop up dictatorial, brutal regime, that's all it is. Why should you shake hands with somebody who's keeping Americans in prison? I mean, what’s the point? Neville Chamberlain shook hands with Hitler.'"
Look, he's right. This is exactly my point.
There's a time not long ago where no American president would get anywhere near a Raul Castro or most of the other people on that platform.
