RUSH: Did you watch the NFL playoffs over the weekend? You watched the Mannings? I tell you, the league is losing control of these games. That San Francisco-Carolina game, that wasn't a football game. That was just a neighborhood street brawl. That's all I'm gonna say about this. But they're losing control and what's happening out there is not football, at least just per se. There's all kinds of stuff going on in addition to it that to me, as a longtime fan, is highly troubling. But that's that.
RUSH: I'm not surprised. I even, if you'll recall, predicted this. Obama is planning a bailout for the insurance companies. Oh, it was an easy prediction, but, I mean, just now it's coming true.
RUSH: Hey, Mike, go to the Proffit System; see if you can find You Got to Me by Neil Diamond. See if we got it in there. Just let me know if we do. Thank for the Lord for the Nighttime. I heard that for the first time over the weekend in I don't know how long, and I found myself humming it, "You Got to Me." Anyway, I won't pain you listening to my humming. ... We have every song in the world. Just have to ask for it.
Neil Diamond. You Got to Me.
I used to play this song in my in my early days as a deejay, 1965 or '6. Now, I realize that those of you 25 or 30, it just doesn't sound that good. It doesn't sound that high-tech. You're laughing at the lyrics. The days of masculinity.
(continued playing of song) One more time. (continued playing of song) Okay. That's enough. The Stick-to-the-Issues Crowd is screaming at the radio now.
