RUSH: Bob Costas and pinkeye in Sochi -- in communist Russia. What's the surprise? Why is everybody surprised that NBC News would laud praise over a Soviet KGB leader, when they are his prisoner for two weeks as the televising network?
RUSH: Is this not insane? If the current polling trend line continues, by 2016 more people will blame Obama for the economy, after eight years, than will blame Bush. Right now, a majority still blame Bush for the economy.
RUSH: It's not even an editorial. This thing is a rant, this Wall Street Journal editorial. Two different times in this editorial, they blame talk radio for the death of "immigration reform" this year.
RUSH: I had to wait until today to say that we were going to make another book, and now we've made it. I have it and am holding it here in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers, and there it is on the Dittocam. It is now available for pre-order, and this is tough to say, folks, because the first book, the first child, there's nothing like it. But this... We learned from the first; we added to the second. This is Rush Revere and the First Patriots.
Joe Biden, the almost forgotten vice president, was sent out to give a few words at an annual conference of the United Auto Workers. He told them there’s a "concerted" war on labor unions and collective bargaining. According to Biden, the chamber of commerce and right-to-work groups are running the war. The unions, he said, "are the only guys keeping the barbarians at the gate."
RUSH: How long ago was it TIME Magazine actually ran a cover story: Shocking News: Men and women are actually born different! Now, that's 20 years ago, 18 years ago. For those of you that are not that old, let me give you a little history of this...
RUSH: I think a lot of people are glossing over a lot of big stuff, which may be understandable in the sense that most people feel powerless to do anything about it. But, when among the people feeling powerless to do anything about it is the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States of America, to me, that's big.
RUSH: The Democrats are looking at it as liberating people from a capitalist enforcement mechanism called "the job." It's the job that made you get what you got in life, and the Democrats want government to be what you get in life and want you to think that they and government are responsible for what you have. Not your job. It all fits.
CALLER: I thought to myself, "I've gotta tell him this." I know when you are angry. I know when you are pissed. I know when you're bored. I know when you're tired. From the sound of your voice. But what you are when you talk to the children is absolutely delightful. You have a tone in your voice that is just sweet. It's a pleasure to hear you.
RUSH: There's been no reaction. De Blasio in New York? Ho-hum. Nobody cares. Now, what would have happened if Cheney had said this?
RUSH: Seth MacFarlane is the godfather of Family Guy, and I have a good relationship with him.
RUSH: You are offering hard, cold statistical facts to explain societal differences, economic inequalities and so forth. All right? And just to let you know, some of the most brilliant scholars I know -- Charles Murray, James Q. Wilson -- have been writing about this for as long as I've been doing this show, and you know how much impact it's had? (raspberry)
RUSH: I actually thought it was fascinating. These questions were questions that Obama should have been asked numerous times over the past months, and basically all he did was tell O'Reilly how insolent he was for asking them.
