RUSH: Cheshire, Connecticut. This is John. Great to have you on the program. Hi.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. I’ve been running my own little Rush Room here since 2009. A wise friend of mine told me when I was younger, “It’s a very rare person that can take independent and separate events and draw a conclusion,” and taking this, you know, with what you were talking about our pundits — you know, our guys that are right on about 70 to 80% of the time I would say, it seems like — but every once in a while they go into that deep abyss. Couple weeks ago I’m listening to O’Reilly and Krauthammer, and they brought up the issue of the NSA.

And they’re talking about it in such a way that it’s all about national security. I’ve never seen Krauthammer so passionate as he is about Snowden being a dirt bag, and the whole thing resolved around the national security aspect of it, not connecting into the fact that the NSA may be being used for something along the lines of what they’re doing with the IRS or some of the other lawless things are taking place. You know, something within this Regime has happened every day for the past five years. It’s been something. I remember you saying a few years ago, it’s always something, every single day.

RUSH: It is. Every day we wake up and there’s something else.

CALLER: Yeah, and for these guys not to be able to draw that conclusion, that they look at everything as an independent event and try to analyze it.

RUSH: Well, look. They don’t want to be confused with right wingers.

CALLER: Right. Right. They don’t want to be labeled a right winger —

RUSH: Right.

CALLER: — you know, which is equivalent to what he might call a left-wing loon.

RUSH: Yeah, you don’t want that. “Right winger” equals “extremist,” and you don’t want to be thought of as one of those. So, yeah, I know what you’re saying. I hear you. I do. It’s a good point, actually.
