Charlie Rangel Says Building Explosion is Harlem's 9/11
RUSH: A big building explosion in Harlem, an apparent building explosion and collapse. The congressman there, Charles Rangel, this is his district, said that this is the most horrific thing that has hit his home district in his whole time, in his whole career. He said, "This is Harlem's 9/11." Now, you've gotta be very careful in how you analyze that, 'cause I don't think Chuck is blaming this on Al-Qaeda. But some other terrorist maybe. Who knows? Now, the... (interruption)
No, it was not. (laughing) No.
As best we can tell, the plane from Malaysia did not crash into the building in Harlem. However, I should tell you that the tech world is abuzz -- bzz bzz bzz -- because a drone was spotted flying over the building after the explosion. "A drone!" You know what a drone is! "That represents secret government agencies spying, or maybe the drone launched a bomb or something." Everybody's buzzing over this. New York mayor de Blasio thinks, to be fair, they need to start a similar fire in a white neighborhood on the Upper East Side.
RUSH: You know, this Malaysian airliner mystery, so far off-course. This is starting to feel like a James Bond movie. You remember the original Thunderball where the bad guys essentially hijacked a high-tech British nuclear bomber, with a nuclear bomb attached to it, and they hid it at the bottom of the ocean under a net. I'm just wondering if at some point this plane is found in the ocean under a net, and Obama will call a press conference and blame Spectre.
To watch all these experts just wild guess after wild guess and to listen to the tech community just express total amazement and surprise. Here we are, we are wired; we've got satellites; real-time satellites; real-time data going back and forth; GPS data; we got telemetry, and they can't find it.
You know what some people were doing? Google Maps, honestly, folks, some people were going to Google Maps looking for the explosion. They think Google Maps is live. They think Google Maps is a live satellite feed. Google is satellite snapshots and if you zoom in sometimes you'll catch an airliner en route somewhere, over land, over water. If you zoom in, if you have a monitor with good enough resolution, if you can zoom in more -- I mean, not very many people actually search Google Maps for vast expanses of ocean, 'cause nobody ever goes there. But now people have started doing that. If you do that, you get the right snapshot (it's pure coincidence) you can catch a satellite snapshot of an airplane flying en route somewhere over the ocean.
So there have been reports, people, "I found it! I found the thing! I found it, and I don't see any explosion!" I'm watching all these experts on TV, and every day there's some new piece of information. It's total speculation and wild guess. You're watching media soap opera technique in full color. It's on display here, exactly how all of this happens.
RUSH: Now, folks, the polling data that says a majority of Americans do not want Obamacare repealed, they want it fixed. I should have added that I'm not sure I buy that because Alex Sink, as part of her campaign, promised to "fix" Obamacare, and it didn't help her, and it would tend to disprove this notion that fixing Obamacare is what people want.
RUSH: Okay, from CollegeFix.com, here's the headline: "Feminist Studies Professor Accused of Assaulting Teenage Pro-Life Demonstrator -- A department of feminist studies professor has been accused of going berserk after coming across a campus pro-life demonstration that used extremely graphic displays, leading a small mob of students to chant 'tear down the sign' before grabbing one of the signs, storming off with it, then allegedly engaging in an altercation with a 16-year-old pro-life protestor...
"Much of the scuffle was recorded on a smart phone... The professor at the heart of the controversy is Mireille Miller-Young," now get this, "an associate professor whose area of emphasis is black cultural studies, pornography and sex work, according to her faculty Web page." So what do we have here? We have hyphenated name? Check. Teaches multicultural nonsense? Check.
Attracted to perverted and worthless areas of academic emphasis? Check. Instinct to lash out violently at those who disagree with her? Check. Resorts to violence when she doesn't get her way? Check. Logical conclusion: She is a madcap leftist and she has tenure. She is teaching young skulls full of mush, inculcating them with this worthless drivel that their parents are paying through the nose for.
Now, you might say, "Rush this has always gone on."
Not to this degree, folks.
The higher education curriculum has been in the process of being corrupted by militant feminazis for I don't know how long, but it is continuing to normalize what 10 years ago were extremes. The extremes 10 years ago are the normal today. The extremes 15 ago are the normal. A professor teaching a course in black cultural studies, pornography, and sex work on her faculty Web page?
You don't think people being educated with this kind of drivel are gonna come out of school confused and thinking they've actually learned something? And this is just one professor the one school with one particular area of the curriculum, and it's happening all over. History? They're corrupting everything. And it's only the real world that... Can it fix them? That's the question.
