This year the IRS will have fewer agents auditing taxpayer returns than at any time since the 1980s. It’s a tragedy! Taxpayer services are suffering, too. Millions of telephone calls to the IRS are going unanswered; almost 40 percent of the people who call the IRS for help don’t get it.

RUSH: The Politico is saying I did it. You got USA Today saying I did it, and I didn't do it. It wasn't me! And it's fascinating. It is literally fascinating that they want to take this episode and try to lay this off on me. I'll tell you what I'm talking about in a minute. This is the hook. It makes me think that we might have hit on something here.
RUSH: Before this gets out of hand -- it maybe already is -- this Colbert thing, the first thing: My comments about that actually are aimed at CBS, they're the hiring agent here, and that's who I was really talking about, what their decision meant.
