RUSH: Sheriff Joe Arpaio has now leveled the allegation that the dumping of illegals is intentional. We had story yesterday, that was also from Drudge, that these kids are being escorted across the border. We can't escape, with the Scott Walker... I don't know what to call it. Lies? The journalistic malpractice? The southern border? It just feels like we're under literal assault each and every day.
RUSH: This is from Cybercast News. "Public confidence in television news is at an all-time low, according to a survey released today by Gallup. Only 18% of the Americans surveyed expressed either a 'great deal' or 'quite a lot' of confidence in that news medium. Gallup has been asking the following question annually since 1993..." Eh, forget the question. The answer is all that matters in this case.
"In the latest survey, conducted June 5-8, only 10% said they had 'a great deal' of confidence in TV news, and 8% said they had 'quite a lot' of confidence." So that's 18%, and yet, whatever is on the TV news is what people believe. Then there's no denying that. There literally is no denying that.
The Koch Brothers gave $25 million to the National Association for the Advancement of Liberal Colored People, and there are massive protests and demands that is they give it back, high-pressure demands that is they give it back.
The United Negro College Fund is being threatened with all kinds of things if they don't give the money back to the Koch brothers. "Koch Derangement Syndrome Breaks Out After $25 Million Donation to United Negro College Fund." These people are completely nuts, and I mean that in they should be institutionalized way. "University of Pennsylvania professor Marybeth Gasman argued that United Negro --" Should they change their name, by the way? United Negro College Fund? You would think so.
"University of Pennsylvania professor Marybeth Gasman argued that UNCF should reject the money because it is tainted with the Koch brothers’ political advocacy, which she says works 'to undermine the interests of African Americans and the institutions that support them.'" I'm sorry, this woman needs to be put in a straitjacket. She wants a group that is invested in improving the circumstances for Negros, the United Negro College Fund, $25 million. She wants the money given back. (interruption) What, am I in trouble? You think I'm in trouble for saying Negroes? Oh, geez.
What I don't get here is she says the money is tainted with their political advocacy, which she says works to undermine the interests of African-Americans and the institutions. How is giving the United Negro College Fund $25 million undermining them? "The Kochs want to shrink the federal government, but Gasman objects, saying that federal programs 'built the black middle class.'"
You see, they're nuts. Federal programs have destroyed the black middle-class and the black family, if the truth be known. And when David Koch gave $100 million to a New York hospital, the nurses protested. He didn't real mean it. They're just giving this money so who they really are is covered up. They're really sexists and bigots and homophobes and they know it and they don't want you to know it, so they're giving all this money just to try to hide who they really are. And the nurses protested that money.
I should call the Koch brothers and say, "Look, I'll take it. And I will love you for it and I will say great things about you. Give me $25 million. I'll put it to greater use than the United Negro College Fund and Marybeth Gasman."
RUSH: No, I know that. I haven't done it because you should see what happened the other day. What was I talking about? Oh! I opened the program with some reminisces about the late Steelers coach Chuck Noll. You should have seen the email, the RushLimbaugh.com email. There was some of the most vicious... There was one guy, "The wrath of the Lord is gonna come down on you! We are losing our country and we got the southern border being overrun, and you're talking about a hedonistic, sinning football coach who's doing nothing for life. You should be ashamed and I am cancelling my pre'scription," and he's going on and on.
"You engage in the blasphemy of football which is drug-filled and concussion-filled, and we don't care about football or golf!" So that's why I haven't shared with you my thoughts on iOS 8 yet, because I get the same kind of reaction. "We don't care about iOS 8! We don't care about those hedonistic Silicon Valley hippy creeps!" (laughing) I'm not kidding you. The Stick-to-the-Issues crowd has turned quasi-violent out there in the email. But we are going to persist.
RUSH: Do we have time? I had a couple sound bites by Jacob Tapper that I wanted to get to. Jacob Tapper is CNN. He was fit to be tied. He was really mad yesterday after he learned that the Republicans named Steve Scalise as the House Whip. See, Steve Scalise is not pro-amnesty, and Jake Tapper was wringing his hands. "Oh, my God, this is going to make amnesty even harder," and I wanted you to hear the bites because I wanted to you to hear the frustration in a newsman's voice, but sadly, my friends, we're out of time.
