What would motivate professional journalists and other esteemed members of the media to ignore cold-related deaths, hmm? Can you think of anything, anything at all? I’m going on a limb here. Maybe there’s an ideology at work here. And that cold-weather deaths don’t quite fit into the global warming narrative that we have been sold for years. You think that might be it?

RUSH: What the House Republicans are doing vis-a-vis suing Obama and impeachment, it's all wrong. It doesn't make any sense. Nothing makes any sense... The Republicans are hell-bent on their immigration bill. They're hell-bent. The Chamber of Commerce, somebody, has got them just scared to death. They are hell-bent on passing a bill that will never see the light of day in the Senate. Obama will never sign it. And they know it. And you know why they want to do it? It's so indicative of the post-traumatic stress disorder that they are in...
RUSH: Now stop and think of this for a second, folks. Obama has decided that his historic legacy as president is going to be his handling of the economy... Never mind that Obama has given us the worst economic recovery from a recession probably in our history and that's assuming that we have even recovered. I can't believe what I'm holding here in my formerly nicotine stained fingers...
RUSH: What this proves, ladies and gentlemen, is that Lois Lerner and the IRS were targeting conservatives for political reasons. Whoever said what, whoever started what, there can be no doubt now -- if there ever was -- that the IRS, with the full awareness and knowledge of the White House, was targeting conservatives for political reasons.
RUSH: I tell you, folks, keep a sharp eye on the president talking about hate. Because it's all part of his and Holder's efforts to criminalize any criticism of Obama or any hate speech that might be considered criticism. Make no mistake about that.
RUSH: When they see conservatism, they see Barry Goldwater. They see a landslide defeat. They see a Republican Party in the wilderness for 40 years. They don't see the beginning of a movement. They don't see something that led to Ronald Reagan.
RUSH: The Democrats are talking about impeachment much, much more than the Republicans are. And you know who has established that to be true? None other than a quasi God to Democrats and leftists. That's our good old buddy, Nate Silver.
RUSH: They were simply going to try to pass this thing that wasn't going to go anywhere, simply to try to tell a particular group of people, "Hey, we don't hate you." And, of course, that group of people was never even going to hear that it had happened... Folks, you were heard. And the immigration bill in the House has been pulled.
RUSH: In the midst of all of this alarmism that I'm sounding, I must again say -- and I've believed this my whole life. I just said it, I've expected, because I'm an optimist, I've expected during the lifetime of this program, 26 years, I have expected that we would reach the bottom and certain things would rebound. I still think that's going to happen.
RUSH: There is one reason why the media and the Democrats support them: because they're the underdogs. They're the poor, disadvantaged, put-upon minority versus the big power, unfairly powerful, mean-spirited, children-killing majority.
