Kenneth Tate spent his life in the background, not as a public figure. That is, until the drive-by media drove by.

RUSH: Have you heard the latest theory that is being bandied about by people who are scared to death that we are all being tricked like we have never been tricked before? Have you heard the theory? Here's the theory: There is no Democrat catastrophe that's going to happen today. The Democrat loss, while it may happen -- it's a midterm election with a sitting Democrat in the Oval Office -- is by no means going to be anywhere as big as the media and a lot of Democrats out there are trying to convince us it's going to be.
RUSH: That is the first lady of the United States, Michelle Hussein O. In the first sound bite, demanding that blacks vote Democrat -- no matter who, no matter what -- and, then as a treat, if they do it, she will permit them this one time to celebrate by eating fried chicken. Mrs. Barack Hussein Obama said this, not a Tea Party candidate, not a Republican, not a conservative, not a talk show host.
RUSH: Brokaw is an old lion, Brokaw's from Jurassic Park, and, in his day, this is what would be done. The Republicans would be met with questions, "Okay, you won. So what are you gonna do to compromise with Obama? What are you gonna do to help Obama? What are you gonna do to put this country back on track? What are you gonna do for compromise? What are you gonna do to end gridlock?
RUSH: Whether they want to realize it or not, they have a mandate: Stop what Obama is doing. That's why they're going to win. The voters just don't want a change in terms of people in office. They want that change in office to mean something, and what they want it to mean is for Obama to be stopped. That's a huge mandate.
RUSH: Cookie said, "What do you like about it?" I said, "They got Undeniable Truth of Life No. 24 out there! Undeniable Truth of Life No. 24 made HBO: 'Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society.'"
RUSH: Somebody told Sharyl Attkisson there's a list and I'm on it. That's another feather in the cap here, folks.
RUSH: The only thing I know for sure is that people who live, breathe, their total existence depends on Big Government, are never gonna stand for anything that reduces its size. Therefore, there is no compromise with them. There is no persuading them. All there is left to do is to defeat them, and I don't think at the same time voting Democrat or voting Libertarian in order to teach a lesson, send a message, accomplishes anything other than perpetuating the status quo, which is something we all oppose.
RUSH: For those of you who think that Republicans winning is not gonna help because the guys are worthless, I want you to do something. If you purchase your own health insurance, I want you to call your insurance company today, and I want you to ask them what your premium will be next year. The reason I want you to do this is because the Obama administration has ordered insurance companies not to announce this until after the election...
CALLER: You could have knocked me over with a feather when I heard Aubrey's comments yesterday about Tea Party Patriots. His mind-set was stunning, and his claims that Tea Party Patriots are loons and disruptive is flat-out wrong. You know, we believe in the Constitution, property rights, states' rights, limited government, and our objective is to improve the Republican Party through conservative candidates that are true to our simple values. We're not radical. We're not disruptive. We're tired of politicians that say one thing and do another.

HOCKENBERRY: Is there a divide here in America, or is this Limbaughian showbiz?
LEONHARDT: There is a divide. Rush is right, at least about some aspect of this.
CALLER: Hey, how you doing, man? Been listening to you since I was 5, 6 years old, you know, with my daddy.
RUSH: All day long they've had a running theme, and they've had a wide assortment of analyst guests come in and answer the question, "What will a Republican victory mean for America? What will a Republican victory mean for Obama?" As though we are on the verge of a national tragedy. As though we are on the verge of a national emergency, the Republicans might win.
