An article in Slate details the condition the Democrats are in after the midterm elections. The headline – “Down and Out” – says it all.
RUSH: Why are Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Harry Reid, Steny Hoyer, working so hard on John Boehner's behalf? That's what's happening. That's what you need to take away from this.
RUSH: This woman, Amy Pascal, one of the most powerful executives, male, female, gay, straight, you name it, in Hollywood, you know what she has done? She has called the Justice Brothers. I am not kidding
RUSH: Did you see the news that a time capsule was discovered someplace in Boston from the 1700s? A time capsule that was hidden away by Paul Revere and Samuel Adams. Folks, you'll have to forgive me for feeling immense pride here, but if you go to the Rush Revere Facebook page, you will see parents sending little notes that their five-year-olds and 10-year-olds were all excited when they heard that on the news.
RUSH: So Elizabeth Warren is angelic and wonderful and fearless and fighting for the little people, and Ted Cruz is mean and nasty and a threat to the public... Now, if Elizabeth Warren is behaving like Ted Cruz, then why don't establishment Republicans get out of the way? If shutting down the government is a sign of party implosion, why not let it happen?
RUSH: This is an outline of what would have to happen to once again scuttle it or put some roadblocks up... The smart money is that it's going to happen with no controversy whatsoever, that it's practically already a fait accompli. I just wanted to tell you people sending me e-mails, "Is there still a way of stopping it?" I wanted to run down the ways for you that it could happen.
RUSH: People think this election that just happened was meaningless, that the elected officials are not even paying attention or listening to it.
RUSH: If more people had the good fortune of actually discovering their passion, their true passion, and if they can figure out a way to get paid for it, then they would know life and success and all kinds of happiness in ways that eludes them otherwise.
RUSH: Ninety-two, 93 million Americans sitting around not working, but all of them eating and all of them on the phone and all of them watching television, is not what the founders had in mind. It is not the way you get to a growing, productive, satisfied, achievement oriented society
RUSH: I can't thank you enough, because your call is a supreme validation in practically every day, and it means so much.
RUSH: There was no attempt to get any facts. This thing is purely political, and it's hypocritical to boot because every one of these senators that's behind this thing is acting like they were lied to and misled when they were told everything about this program.
