A federal judge ruled Texas can continue denying US birth certificates to children of illegal immigrants whose parents can’t supply the required identification documents. Because they came here illegally.
RUSH: Back in the nineties when we first encountered this cackle, we identified its source and that is to be found in Arkansas wilderness areas, the Arkansas Broadbeam is the species here that utters this.
RUSH: How many times have you been led to believe that whatever's gonna happen before some Senate or House committee is about to happen, is going to be big, and nothing has happened? So intelligence guided by experiences tells us that we're about to be set up for nothing to happen on Thursday. It is going to be a giant nothing burger.
RUSH: Do you remember all of those times that George W. Bush mocked and made fun of and stonewalled all those 9/11 investigations? Do you remember how he refused to participate with the 9/11 Commission? Do you remember how he went to the media and had them cover for him and made it look like he had nothing to do with it? Do you remember how they blamed a video for inciting the anger in the Muslim community that led to 9/11? You remember all of that happening, right? No, you don't remember it happening because none of it did.
RUSH: This object lesson of Mary Mapes and Dan Rather running around promoting their movie Truth is classic. It is a variation of the creation of this strategy. "Well, there may not be any evidence, but that doesn't matter! Because the seriousness of the charge requires and mandates an investigation." Wait a minute. There isn't any evidence for it. "Doesn't matter," they say. "The seriousness of the charge matters." What charge? "Well, Clarence Thomas harassed Anita Hill." There isn't any evidence. "Doesn't matter! It's a serious charge. We must look into it. We must ask the question," and this is how they permit themselves to have open season on their opponents.
RUSH: There's a great book out there. The guy is at the Manhattan Institute. His name is James Piereson. His book is entitled Shattered Consensus. And there's a chapter -- actually a couple chapters -- on the Kennedy assassination. The theme of the book is the partisan divide in this country is greater than ever and may not be solvable, and thus there may have to be a revolution for there to be unity in the country. And his effort is to explain the divide and why it exists, why the hyperpartisanship. And the Kennedy situation and the aftermath is a fundamental aspect or part of his theory.
RUSH: I have my own theory what happened here. And I know my theory is right, by the way. I know it's 100% right, and I know because of that it's gonna be pooh-poohed. It's gonna be belittled. It's gonna be mocked, laughed at, and made fun of as, "Oh, that's easy. That's exactly what Limbaugh would say."
CALLER: He's actually reading them on his own. He just goes to his room, spends an hour or two a day reading.
