RUSH: Here is Terry, Saginaw, Michigan.  Great to have you on the program, sir.  Hello.

CALLER:  Hi, Rush.

RUSH:  Hey.

CALLER:  Great to be on your program.  Longtime listener, first-time caller.

RUSH:  Thank you, sir.  It’s great to have you here.

CALLER:  Well, I listened to some smear campaign from the Clinton machine this weekend concerning Donald Trump making his suits and ties and things out of country.

RUSH:  Yeah, I saw that ad.  It says that Trump’s appearing on the Letterman show and they’re making fun of his shirts and ties supposedly made by the ChiComs.

CALLER:  Yeah.  Well, they need to get creative with something like, “Hey, Clinton signed NAFTA,” and then taxes went out of sight. Regulations are so bad that we can’t even manufacture in our country anymore because of the amount of money it costs just to have a name —

RUSH:  Well, you mean that’s what you want Trump to say?

CALLER:  I’d love Trump to say something like, “Hey, it’s your guy that caused the problem of us making goods and services in our country.”

RUSH:  Okay, so here’s the deal.  Here’s what he wants.  The ad that I saw is Trump appearing on Letterman.  And Letterman’s got some Trump shirts and Trump ties.  He says, “I don’t know where they’re made. I think they’re made in China.” Whatever he asks, he’s cavalier about it, and here’s Hillary trying to point out he’s hypocrite because he’s trying to make all these other companies bring their jobs home and all their manufacturing here in America.  But look at Trump. Trump’s making his stuff in China.

Trump’s importing his stuff from all over the world. The caller wants Trump to say, “Well, yeah! It’s the only way I can do it and stay in business under NAFTA; Bill Clinton signed NAFTA.  We have to move our jobs overseas in order be able to make a profit.” That’s what he wants Trump to come back and say, which means you appear to be worried about this, that this Hillary ad might be effective, because it’s pointing out hypocrisy and all that.  So… Well, Trump will have an answer for it at some point.
