 RUSH: A little television ratings information here, ladies and gentlemen. Sunday night, as you know, was the annual Epidemic Awards. They drew the lion's share of the audience. But if you go to cable from five p.m. to 11 p.m. during the bulk of the Oscar awards, the highest rated, the most viewed television show in the 25-54 age demographic (which is what everybody really looks at) was a rerun of the 1/2 Hour News Hour on the Fox News Channel. It's not even close to anything anybody else had the whole night on CNN, PMSNBC, or Headline News. I have the numbers right here. It's really not even close.
So the night of Oscar, the most watched program on the cable news channels was a rerun of the 1/2 Hour News Hour. I mention this only because the second episode of the 1/2 Hour News Hour will air at ten o'clock Sunday night on the Fox News Channel. It again features a skit with me as president. Ann Coulter is vice president in the middle of a fireside chat. There's no fire, but that's the format. I actually think that this episode is a little funnier than the first, so I just wanted to mention this as a means of promoting it. |
