Above is a photo from Steve Nelson of the second Texas Air Guard crew that flew Rush around in a C-130. This is the crew that picked him up after the Air Force C-130 had engine failure on the flight from Kandahar to Bagram AFB. They asked Rush to sign their flight orders to the “Best Crew in Texas” because they knew Captain Jeff Mull's crew had flown him the day before.
