RUSH: Now, how - as a meteorologist again - can we on the one hand say, "We don't know the depth of the current El Niño. We don't know what the worst measure of effect will be in the next six to nine months," but, on the other hand, we can predict within the next 50 to a hundred years that the temperature at the surface Celsius is going to go up six degrees?
Chuck: Well, this is my whole point, you can't. These are assertions that are made based upon models which have shown themselves to be highly inaccurate over time. And the warming that we had this last winter on the east coast everybody seems to be so convinced is related to global warming has nothing to do with it. It's all...it was the jet stream pattern that persisted to pull the southerly winds out of the Gulf of Mexico during the winter, and this happens. You get -
RUSH: Well, who's to say global warming is not affecting the jet stream?
Chuck: It's not affecting the jet stream.
RUSH: Who says?
 Chuck: Because we haven't seen any change in the depth of the cold which occurs up over the north [pole] in the cooling part of the winter. The (unintelligible) form up there and the cold air masses are all the same. In fact, I've got a suggestion. If you want to cure these liberals of this global warming thing, I've got an idea for you. Why don't we just round them all up and send them up to the Siberian tundra next winter and let them spend the winter up there and if they come back next spring and still proclaim there's global warming. I'll eat my hat.
RUSH: Okay, but, well, look, seriously, now, they are - gleefully I might add - reporting ice flows that are breaking up. Glaciers and icebergs that are breaking up both in Antarctica and the Arctic Circle, and they're saying in some cases that's we think a sign of global warming. What would you say to that?
Chuck: Well, I would say to that that they're not reporting on the re-formation and growth of ice glaciers in other parts of the arctic up there, they only report on the ones that are melting.
RUSH: Growth, did you say?
Chuck: And overall if you take a look at the ice cap, it's not shrinking. It's changing but it's been doing that for years.
RUSH: You mean it's not getting smaller?
Chuck: No.
RUSH: It's getting bigger?
Chuck: It's staying about the same.
RUSH: Wow.
Chuck: And this is what I've been trying to say. At the onset of this thing, in order for them to be able to demonstrate that there's global warming going on, they have to be able to show the radiation balance of the planet is changing in the positive where more radiation is being stored than sent back to space from the earth. And we're not seeing this. So the rest of the argument is just ridiculous. There's all kinds of ways you can try to say that the planet is warming, but you're going to go through the data and eventually when you come back to square one you're going to be right where you started from.
RUSH: You just cannot trust those liberals or anybody else, then, who says that global warming is happening and that human beings are causing it. That's just typical liberal bilge.
Chuck: The bottom line is the liberal establishment and these people in the National Environmental Trust, they want to convince the public that there's global warming so that we can once again start a huge expansion of another branch of government - bottom line.
RUSH: Well, I hear that.
Chuck: It's all about politics; it's about money. It is not about what's really going on with this planet. And people like me are in the minority because we don't have our hands on these huge trust funds these liberals get a hold of to where they can bank roll their cause and get their word out there with the cooperation of the media and they continue to pound us on this and continue to hammer it over and over again until they slowly start this process of brainwashing the public into believing something is so, when it's not.
RUSH: Chuck, I've got to go because of time. But thanks much for the call. Well spoken.
Chuck: You keep up the good work on this, Rush, and don't change your position on it. Continue to insist that there isn't global warming, because that is where the truth on this issue is.
