When Governor Bush said that there was a warning light on the dashboard of the economy, the Democrats flipped out. He was said to be "talking down the economy." But who's doing all the negative talking about the market and the economy now, hmm? The Democrats! Bush was right about the economy, but these Democrats are just playing politics. |

If there is Washington involvement in this market, you can thank the Democrats for it. They hope it bleeds over to the economy, because they don't have anything else to run on this year. They still can't give you a reason to vote for them. All they can do is construct these fear mongering crises to try to get you to vote against other people. They're ginning up fear in the market. If Washington has anything to do with the economic slide, it's the Democrats doing it while they try to link Bush to the pain they cause.
These are the guys who said when Clinton was impeached that we had to "stop the politics of personal destruction." They're trying to convince a public - which isn't taught anything about the market and economy in our schools - that they are one and the same. But as we list with hard facts and statistics in Rush is Right! Economy Sound, On The Rebound, the market goes down as the economy in general recovers. The economy will pull up the stock market after this correction ends, and that's something the Democrats will do anything they can to prevent.
The Democrats are focusing on a ten-year-old non-story, Harken Energy, but they won't approve a budget for defense or anything else. No Homeland Security. No new weapons systems. No counter-terrorism funding. No money for anything we need - all at the expense of the prosperity and safety of the American people. The Army may have to curtail training exercises starting in a few days. Democrats and Republicans are pouring on spending on pet projects, but they won't spend on defense. It's obscene. |
