RUSH: t wasn’t happy times out in San Francisco. Obama showed up, you had to have 30 grand or something to get in to hear him speak, fundraiser for Barbara Boxer out there. Can you imagine spending all that money to have dinner with Obama and the regime and Boxer and then have him lecture you and tell you you aren’t working hard enough? We have a couple sound bites of him being heckled. This is a good sample of it.

OBAMA: She’s passionate about fighting for jobs, jobs with good wages, jobs with good benefits. She’s passionate about fighting for California’s families. (heckler) She is — we are — we are going to do that. Hey, hold on a second, hold on a second. (heckler) We are going to do that.

CROWD: Yes, we can.

OBAMA: So what’s —

CROWD: Yes, we can. Yes, we can. Yes, we can. Yes, we can.

OBAMA: There we go. What the young man was talking about was we need to pay — we need to — (heckler) we need to repeal ‘don’t ask, don’t tell,’ which I agree with. (cheers and applause) And which we have begun to do.

RUSH: All right, so he’s out there, this big chat-up for Barbara Boxer who is in trouble out there and a gay rights activist got in there and started shouting ‘don’t ask, don’t tell,’ they want it repealed, and the Obamaites finally outnumbering the gay rights activists started, ‘Yes we can. Yes we can,’ Obama back into his comfort zone. And then he lectures the protesters, tells ’em he’s on their side.

OBAMA: When you’ve got an ally like Barbara Boxer and you’ve got an ally like me who are standing for the same thing, then you don’t know exactly why you gotta holler, because we already hear you, all right?

RUSH: They did not like that one. Unfortunately I don’t have time to play you the next bite right now, but I will soon.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: All right, we’ll get to the other Obama clip in the next hour, but I do want to tell you this. He went out to do a fundraiser for Barbara Boxer, and he said to the people in the room, ‘She might lose her reelection race if her supporters don’t work hard.’ So the way I see this, it’s not at all her fault that she’s in this mess, it’s not her ideology, it’s not her record of helping California become a failed state, it’s not her imperialistic insistence on being called Senator, it’s not her incompetence, no, no, no, it’s her supporters who are not working hard enough, why she might lose, got that? Is that a way to really inspire them, put it on their shoulders?

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Barbara Boxer last night at her fundraiser with Obama with said — this is after Obama tells her supporters, ‘It’s up to you. She may lose this election. She may lose unless you really work hard.’ It would have nothing to do with her incompetence, have nothing to do with her idiocy, her record, her ideology. No, no, no, no! If her supporters don’t work hard then she’s toast. So after they hear that, she stands up, and she says, ‘Are you ready to go toe to toe to them cup by cup by cup?’ I’m asking, ‘What kind of cup is she talking about?’ Is she talking about a teacup? Is she talking about a coffee cup? Or is she talking about a protective cup that you put in an athletic supporter? (For those of you in Rio Linda: Jockstrap.) ‘Because I’m ready to go cup by cup by cup with them, Boxer said. We are in a run for our life. We’re all being tested now. The times are testing us.’ No, Barbara, you are testing us. The American people are being tested by your policies, your socialism, your crony capitalism, your attempt to take over our government with crap-and-tax, and now this financial regulatory reform bill. In the big scheme of things, Babs, your election is meaningless — except, of course, to her. Now, here’s the remaining sound bite. Obama got so exasperated that he asked the heckler if they wanted to come up to the stage, and then he left the podium to go whisper something in Boxer’s ear because he was losing control of the crowd. So now when you hear the bite, you will know what he went to Boxer to ask about.

OBAMA: I’m sorry. Do you want to come up here?

MINIONS: Yes, we can! Yes, we can! Yes, we can!

OBAMA: Barbara?

MINIONS: Yes, we can! Yes, we can!

OBAMA: I — I — I just, uhhhhhhhhh…

MINIONS: Yes, we can!

OBAMA: Everybody, I just, uhh, wanted to confirm — I just wanted to confirm — I just checked with Barbara, so if anybody else is, uhhh, thinking about starting a chant, Barbara didn’t even vote for ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ in the first place. So you — you know she’s going to be in favor of repealing ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.’

RUSH: The whole campaign appearance here got sidetracked, hijacked here by a gay activist upset about ‘don’t ask, don’t tell,’ and the fact that it was not repealed. He had to go ask Boxer, ‘You gotta get me out of this, Babs! What’s your position on this?’ So she did, and that was it. But it was not smooth sailing out there. The national media reporting on the protests outside: Was just the Republican side dangerous and violent or was Democrat side, too? This is last night in LA on KCAL Channel 9’s news central, a portion of Dave Bryan’s report about Obama’s trip to LA.

BRYAN: When he arrived in LA, as the presidential motorcade rolled up South Figueroa to Exposition Park, young Republican protesters yelled from one side of the street.

AMERICANS: No new taxes! We are not your ATM!

BRYAN: There were protests on both sides of the street of Figueroa today with Republicans on one side and anti-war Democrats on the other side.

RUSH: ‘Anti-war Democrats on the other side.’ I wonder if there was any sedition going on out there. I wonder if there was any sedition taking place. Anti-war Democrats protesting Obama? So was just the Republican side dangerous and violent. That’s been the template, that’s been the narrative. These anti-war Democrats, were they dangerous and violent, too? Then at this fundraiser for Barbara Boxer, there’s another clip from the sound bite and another unidentified guy shouts at Obama.

OBAMA: I just want to make sure their anger is properly directed because we were for putting $200 billion in tax cuts into the pockets of the American people. (shouting) Here in California, 98% of work families are getting a tax cut! … So that’s what we were for. And that’s what the other side was against.

ROBOT: Thank you for my tax cut!

OBAMA: You’re welcome.

RUSH: ‘Thank you for my tax cut.’ ‘You’re welcome.’ Another one of the Obama robots and minions out there. So the road show continues.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: One more Barbara Boxer sound bite. This is from April 17th, just about three days ago she was in Los Angeles.

BOXER: I need you to be excited, as excited as the tea party people are. Will you help me? Will you get excited?

RUSH: Now, you know you are in trouble when you have to beg your supporters to get excited. And then, did she forget her supporters hate the tea party people? The Democrat Party, from Obama on down has got a campaign to demonize the tea party people, and now here’s Barbara Boxer who wants her supporters to emulate them. I thought they were causing riots. I thought the tea party people were about to blow up a building. Didn’t Bill Clinton tell us this on Friday? (doing Clinton impression) ‘That’s right, that’s right, Limbaugh, you got it right, man, you never forget a thing I say, do you? That’s right. And I set the stage for her because we know there’s going to be violence, it’s a violent country, Obama is seeing to it, it’s part of the plan, so when it does happen all I have to do is go out there and say the tea party people are gonna inspire it. Barbara Boxer, it’s a little stupid for her to say, ask her supporters to be like tea party people because her supporters may literally believe it and go blow something up. So we’re running a risk here, but I think we can handle it. If it blows up in LA, nobody will know.’
