RUSH: Now, I want to go back and play our montage that we led the program with yesterday. Obama and all the others, including Obama here at the UN, lying to everybody all over the world about the fact that a video was responsible for a protest, when they knew that it wasn’t. Folks, it didn’t even take ’em 24 hours to know. They knew immediately no video was responsible for this, and there was no spontaneous protest. It was a terror attack. But, see, in Obama’s world, America’s always to blame. It’s America’s fault when stuff happens. So it has to be the video.

It couldn’t be Al-Qaeda because he vanquished Al-Qaeda. You see, when he killed Osama, he killed Al-Qaeda. How many times did they spike the football on Osama being dead at the convention? (Obama impression) “I killed Osama. I did it. I pulled the trigger. I came off the golf course, they showed me the rifle, I grabbed it, I said, ‘Dead.'” All over the convention. And these protesters in Cairo were out shouting, “We’re all Osamas, Obama.” If anybody’s responsible for this, it’s Obama. So here’s our montage, and then we’re gonna let you hear Trey Gowdy from the House Oversight Government Reform Committee and their hearing yesterday of State Department people.

OBAMA: I don’t care how offensive this video was, it was terribly offensive and we should shun it.

HILLARY: This video is disgusting and reprehensible. It appears to have a deeply cynical purpose, to denigrate a great religion and to provoke rage.

RUSH: Stop the tape and recue that. Does it sound like she’s talking to Big Bird? She sounds like she’s on Sesame Street talking like we’re all two-years-old. Here, play it again.

OBAMA: I don’t care how offensive this video was, it was terribly offensive and we should shun it.

HILLARY: This video is disgusting and reprehensible. It appears to have a deeply cynical purpose, to denigrate a great religion and to provoke rage.

CARNEY: Let’s be clear. These protests were in reaction to a video that had spread to the region.

OBAMA: You had a video that was released by somebody who lives here, sort of a shadowy character, an extremely offensive video.

CARNEY: The unrest we’ve seen has been in reaction to a video.

OBAMA: A crude and disgusting video sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world.

RICE: It was a spontaneous, not a premeditated response, a direct result of a heinous and offensive video.

OBAMA: I know there are some who ask, “Why don’t we just ban such a video?” The answer is enshrined in our laws. Our Constitution protects the right to practice free speech.

RUSH: That’s Barry at the UN. And all of that, folks, is just a lie. They weren’t wrong; they were purposefully lying. So yesterday the State Department came up after the night before admitting our intel, there was no video that was responsible, we had no intel on that, and there was no protest. The State Department ended up throwing Obama and Hillary, everybody under the bus on Tuesday night. Yesterday they went up there to testify. Trey Gowdy, South Carolina, Republican, was on fire.

GOWDY: I would like to have another hearing where we can ask Ambassador Rice under oath, “Who told you what, when?” You’re gonna blame the Intelligence Committee, you come before this committee and you tell us who told you it was a video? Who in the intelligence community said it? Who in the diplomatic community blamed this on a video?

RUSH: And then he went after Jay Carney.

GOWDY: Then we move to Jay Carney, who’s the spokesperso

n for the leader of the free world. This is what he said, Mr. Chairman. “I’m saying based on information that we, our initial information that includes all information, we saw no evidence to back up claims by others that this was a preplanned or premeditated attack. What we saw was evidence that it was sparked by the reaction to this video, and that is what we know thus far based on evidence, concrete evidence,” close quote. When I hear the phrase “concrete evidence,” it means something to me. That’s even stronger language than simply saying something is in fact. So two representatives of this administration gave demonstrably false statements, not just to us, but to our fellow citizens on national television.

RUSH: And in the next bite, Trey Gowdy gets a little emotional about the people who were killed and demands to know why we were lied to.

GOWDY: We want our questions answered, and I want ’em answered by the people that went out before the American people and sought to mislead them by blaming this on a video when there is no evidence, concrete or otherwise, to support the assertions made by this administration. There were four brave Americans who died under circumstances that we can scarcely fathom. The terror, the fear, the anarchy of being killed in that fashion. They did what their country asked them to do. They stood post under dangerous circumstances even after requests for security were denied. They stood their post. The least we can do is stand this meager post that we’ve been assigned and demand that this administration speak the truth to the people it’s supposed to serve. This was never about a video. It was never spontaneous. This was terror. And I want to know why we were lied to.

RUSH: Trey Gowdy, South Carolina, dead on, exactly right. It was terror, and why were we lied to? And, of course, Axelrod and Jay Carney today have both, (paraphrasing) “Well, you know, it’s risky in that part of the world. You go over there, you represent the United States, you gotta know it’s risky. You gotta be prepared to get killed. You gotta be prepared. It’s a risky place to be.” I thought Obama’d made it safe. I thought the Arab Spring was turning this place into a new Democrat playground. “No, it’s a risky place, Mr. Limbaugh.” Oh, so it’s America’s fault then? Is that what it is? That’s what they’re telling us. It’s America’s fault. It’s America’s fault because America’s hated. It’s America’s fault that America’s hated, and that’s why it’s risky over there.
