RUSH: I want to take you to Bishop E. W. Jackson. Bishop Jackson is the founder of the Chesapeake, Virginia-based Exodus Faith Ministries and the chairman of Ministers Taking a Stand.

He released a video message to black Christians recently. I have two sound bites of this.

Here’s the first…

JACKSON: It is time to end the slavish devotion to the Democrat Party. They have insulted us, used us, and manipulated us. They have saturated the black community with ridiculous lies. Unless we support the Democrat Party, we will be returned to slavery. We will be robbed of voting rights. The Martin Luther King holiday will be repealed. They think that we are stupid and that these lies will hold us captive, while they violate everything we believe as Christians.

RUSH: This is Bishop E. W. Jackson, and he’s recounting all the lies that the Democrats tell black people, and he’s just sick that black people believe it. “They’re gonna send you back to slavery!” Biden: “They’re gonna put y’all back in chains!” “They’re gonna keep you from voting.” Voter ID. Can’t have that. “They’re trying to make sure you don’t get to vote anymore.” “They’re gonna take away the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.” Bishop Jackson’s intelligence is insulted by the Democrat Party, and he is attempting to get other black people this country to see it the same way.

JACKSON: The Democrat Party has created an unholy alliance between certain so-called civil rights readers and Planned Parenthood, which has killed unborn black babies by the tens of millions! The Democrat Party has equated homosexuality with being black, which is another outrageous lie. We as Christians ought to know better. Shame on us for allowing ourselves to be sold to the highest bidder. Our ancestors were sold against their will centuries ago, but we’re going to the slave market voluntarily today! The time has come to take a stand. Come out from among them. Exodus now!

RUSH: The Bishop E. W. Jackson in a video released to black Christians recently. It might have been yesterday or the day before.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Who’s next? Where we going? Virginia Beach. JoAnn, great to have you on the program. Hi.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. I wanted to go ahead and just make a comment about that lovely clip you paid from Bishop Jackson today.

RUSH: The preacher?

CALLER: Yes, sir. He happens to be my preacher. He is the genuine article. He’s been a Reagan Republican since 1976, and that message is not only for black Christians. It’s for all Christians.

RUSH: Let me go find it now. Here it is. Bishop E. W. Jackson. Grab sound bites eight and nine. Here’s what she’s talking about. The Bishop E. W. Jackson (of the Chesapeake, Virginia, Exodus Faith Ministries and the chairman of Ministers Taking a Stand) released a video message specifically to black Christians. We have a couple of sound bites from this video.

RUSH: Yeah, and then listen to this next one. If I were African-American, this would frost me.

JACKSON: The Democrat Party has created an unholy alliance between certain so-called civil rights readers and Planned Parenthood, which has killed unborn black babies by the tens of millions! The Democrat Party has equated homosexuality with being black, which is another outrageous lie. We as Christians —

RUSH: Stop the tape. That’s amazing. He’s right about that, and there are a lot of African-Americans who are ticked off about it. To compare the quest for gay marriage to slavery and civil rights? Bishop Jackson here is sounding a warning: How can you people be so stupid as to fall for this? Does he sound like this every day when he preaches?

CALLER: Actually, he sounds better, and with Bishop Jackson, he’s “American of African descent.” He will not use a hyphenated America. He’s glad that he’s in this country. He was born in this country and he is an American. He’s also a Marine, a Harvard graduate, a Harvard-educated lawyer who didn’t drink the Kool-Aid.

RUSH: Wow.

CALLER: I mean, he is absolutely brilliant. He ran for Senate in the primary against George Allen. So he’s quite accomplished.

RUSH: Yeah, he’s one of the best. There are a lot of guys like him that say this. It doesn’t ever seem to have any effect with black Americans.

CALLER: Well, my e-mail has blown up (chuckles) and my telephone’s blown up today so I think we’re having an effect.

RUSH: Well, good. Good. Okay. Well, thanks very much, JoAnn. I appreciate it. Again, it’s the Bishop E. W. Jackson of Chesapeake, Virginia’s Exodus Faith Ministries. The two bites we played are from a video that he released yesterday as part of the campaign.
