RUSH: Jim Harbaugh, the coach of the San Francisco Fort’iners, was asked to respond to President Obama saying he probably would not let his son, Trayvon, play football today. Harbaugh, the media conference that the Fort’iners had at their hotel in LA yesterday when they got into town, reporters said, “A few days ago President Obama made the comment that if he had a son,” like Trayvon, “he wasn’t sure he’d want his son to play football. Are you concerned that there’s a perception that the game of football is unsafe and a lot of parents might feel that way?”

HARBAUGH: If President Obama feels that way, then might be a little less competition for Jack Harbaugh when he gets older. (laughter) That’s the first thing that jumps into my mind, if other parents are thinking that way. But it’s still early, Jack is only five months old, but he’s a really big kid. He’s got an enormous head.

RUSH: That’s Jim Harbaugh, the coach of the Fort’iners, talking about his five-month-old son. It’s a great answer: Well, if President Obama feels that way, there’s gonna be a little less competition for my son.

So Jim Harbaugh is not bothered by the president’s position, basically saying that football is unsafe.
