CALLER: Pretty good. How about you?<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m never better. I\u2019m so glad to hear from you. What\u2019s up?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I\u2019ve been reading your book, and it\u2019s awesome. I love it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, thank you. Thank you. Have you read it all the way through?<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: No, I haven\u2019t read it all the way through yet. I\u2019m still reading it, but it\u2019s really good.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Have you learned anything?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I didn\u2019t know that the Pilgrims wore colorful clothing or that they even boarded the Speedwell before the Mayflower.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, really?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Uh-huh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, a lot of people were surprised at the Speedwell. They never heard of the Speedwell. I wasn\u2019t taught about the Speedwell, either.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Neither was I. I\u2019d never heard of it until that book, until your book<\/a>.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. I also wasn\u2019t taught about those two rotten kids that were —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — always get in trouble, those little… You know, those creeps. It was fun writing about those guys. Yeah, I\u2019m so glad that you enjoy it, because it was so much fun to do.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, thank you for writing it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, it\u2019s my pleasure. You made my day by thanking me. The fact that you like it is icing on the cake, \u2019cause it was written for people just like you, Emily. It really was. ‘Cause I love the country, and I want you to love it. I want you to know the truth of how it came to be. There\u2019s every reason in the world to be proud of your country, of the United States, and there are too many people telling you that you shouldn\u2019t be, and they\u2019re not telling you the truth about things. So I\u2019m so happy that you got it, and that you enjoy it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/line><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/map>\n<\/line>RUSH: Have you heard the audio version?<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I haven\u2019t yet.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, well, well, well. We can expand your enjoyment even beyond the written page. Because I recorded the audio, and it takes about 4.5 hours straight through to listen to it.
