RUSH: Do you know, folks, that you can keep your doctor after all if you\u2019re willing to pay more? That\u2019s from Zeke Emanuel, brother of Rahm Emanuel, who\u2019s one of the architects of Obamacare. And you can. If you\u2019re willing to pay more, you can keep your doctor, and nobody ever said anything else. “Obama didn\u2019t lie to you,” he said. “It\u2019s just a matter of choice.” No, no, it\u2019s not. We\u2019re losing choice. I was thinking about something. <\/p>\n

Those of you that were not alive in the 1950s hear a lot about it and how the old fuddy-duddies want to go back to it because things were simpler and more moral and all that. But let me tell you something else about the 1950s. There wasn\u2019t choice in anything. You didn\u2019t have but three television choices. We didn\u2019t have the technology and invention and so forth, so there wasn\u2019t hardly any choice compared to today. <\/p>\n

Obama is actually taking us back to the fifties in regards to his health care, because he\u2019s limiting choice, by design. Did you hear Juan Williams<\/a> on Fox? (summarized) “Well, you know, the rich are different.” He said, “Those of us on this panel, we\u2019re not gonna be affected by anything in health care. It\u2019s not any big deal.” Now, you let anybody other than a minority Democrat or liberal say something as callous and insensitive as, “Hey, you know, we\u2019re rich here! This isn\u2019t gonna affect us.”<\/p>\n

That person is in deep doo-doo, and in big trouble.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m just looking at my Health Care Stack. You know, folks, I have enough here, I have enough in this Health Care Stack to do the whole show on it. From doctors pulling out, to Zeke Emanuel saying, “What are you talking about, can\u2019t keep your doctor? Of course you can, if you\u2019re willing to pay more.” The New York Times, which is as responsible as anybody else for helping this thing become law by passing along the fraudulent aspects of it. The New York Times, as responsible as anybody for helping perpetuate a fraud here on everybody, guess what they\u2019ve discovered? That the deductibles for most people are going to triple. They just discovered it. <\/p>\n

Now, we\u2019ve been talking about that for months, premiums doubling, deductibles tripling, out of pocket all over the place. Let\u2019s listen to Zeke. Zeke Emanuel is the brother of Rahm Emanuel, also the brother of Ari Emanuel. Ari is probably a top five Hollywood agent in terms of power and influence, and he may be the number one guy. It used to be guy named Michael Ovitz, but now it\u2019s Ari Emanuel. I met Ari Emanuel once. It was at the AT&T celebrity Pro-Am at Pebble Beach. The late Teddy Forstmann is always a player, and the late Teddy Forstmann, always on Tuesday night of that week, maybe Wednesday, I forget which one of the two nights, had a private dinner in one of the rooms at the lodge. <\/p>\n

As a powerful and influential member of the media, I was routinely invited, and I actually went two or three times. It was fun. And one year, it was kind of like what 60 Minutes did when they seated me next to Camille Paglia at the 25th or 50th or hundredth anniversary of 60 Minutes. Steve Kroft, who did the profile on me, arranged for me to sit at the table with Camille Paglia, a noted lesbian critic, and they thought that fireworks would erupt. And I wondered during the night why Kroft and Ed Bradley and these guys kept walking by our table with bemused glances. I didn\u2019t figure it out right away. <\/p>\n

Anyway, Camille Paglia and I did not erupt. We hit it off, actually, had a great time together, which disappointed them. Well, Teddy, in the same vein, sat me next to Ari Emanuel at one of these dinners. And Ari is a classic. Never, never is quiet, is constantly talking, is telling everybody, “Hey, you\u2019re the best, hey.” He invited me to his house to watch the Oscars, which would take place in three weeks or four weeks from whenever this dinner was. And he was serious. There was nothing political about him. I know he is, but, again, everybody was expecting fireworks and probably fisticuffs to break out. And of course that never happens. <\/p>\n

Anyway, the Emanuel brothers, they are top dog powerful in any number of ways. Rahm, of course, chief of staff to Clinton, chief of staff to Obama, now governor of Illinois. Mayor. Well, you know, I misspoke. Mayor of Chicago, but for all intents and purposes that is governor of Illinois as well. That\u2019s why I misspoke. It\u2019s a faux pas. It\u2019s the same thing, practically. And then Zeke is one of the architects of Obamacare, and there\u2019s Ari out there running Hollywood. And they are all top-ranked leftists. And Zeke Emanuel was on Fox News Sunday yesterday. <\/p>\n
