CALLER: I wanted to call and let you know that I\u2019m working in health care. I\u2019m actually a comptroller for a hospital, but I\u2019d heard rumors this was happening. My wife last week had a family doctor appointment with an OBGYN, and one or two of the mandatory questions she was asked is, “Do you own a gun in your house, and do you keep it loaded in your house?” They would not register her as a patient until she answered that question.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, you had heard that was coming, but you didn\u2019t know it was real until yesterday?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, \u2019til last week when my wife had that appointment.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Last week.<\/p>\n

CALLER: She came home and I was shocked.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You were shocked, even though you had heard about it before?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I heard rumors, but I was like, “There\u2019s no way a health care provider is going to ask that kind of question.”<\/p>\n

RUSH: Unless they are mandated to by the federal government.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, and I figure it\u2019s part of Obamacare, but just the sheer fact that they asked the question and they wouldn\u2019t even let her register as a patient until she answered the question blew my mind.<\/p>\n
