RUSH: I got an e-mail from my good friend, The Fish God, today, Steve Abernathy in New Orleans. Now, Steve runs a tilapia fish farm, and I call him The Fish God because when I first went to visit his fish farm, north of New Orleans, it\u2019s across the lake, he was proudly showing me how he was changing male tilapia to female tilapia so that they would hatch more eggs and there would be more tilapia. <\/p>\n

I said, “What do you mean changing the sex?” <\/p>\n

“Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. It\u2019s not exclusive to me. There are all kinds of fish farmers like this. We\u2019ve become experts in changing the sex of fishes.”<\/p>\n

“You\u2019re kidding me?” I was shocked, \u2019cause I\u2019m not an aquaculturist. I don\u2019t know much about this kind of thing. So I started calling him “The Fish God,” and so he sends me this e-mail today about the death of prominent entrepreneur in New Orleans by the name of Larmondo “Flair” Allen. Here it is. I hadn\u2019t heard of this. It\u2019s a big, big story. It\u2019s been going around since 2010. The entrepreneur is Larmondo “Flair” Allen. <\/line><\/p>\n

Now, the newspaper obituary here says Larmondo “Flair” Allen was 25 when he died of gunshot wounds. He had nine kids. He did not know Antonio Cromartie of the New York Jets. He had nine kids, he knew their names and they\u2019re all published here. It\u2019s a fascinating story on how Larmondo “Flair” Allen\u2019s entrepreneurism manifested istelf. I had no idea. It\u2019s one of these e-mail that\u2019s been floating around the Internet since 2010 and I hadn\u2019t heard of it.<\/p>\n

But the Fish God sent it to me and the Fish God is not an extremist kook wacko so when the Fish God send it to me I said, “Well…” So I Googled Larmondo “Flair” Allen, and, lo and behold! There must be 10 pages of news on this entrepreneur. Snopes has looked into it. The Daily Kos kid think it\u2019s a right-wing fabrication, but I\u2019m unable to find out just how true the… (interruption) You\u2019ve got proof? (interruption) It\u2019s true? (interruption) Okay. (interruption) Yeah, yeah. (interruption)<\/p>\n

No, no, I\u2019m not denying that the entrepreneur, Larmondo “Flair” Allen, was killed in a gun battle in New Orleans. There\u2019s nobody disputing that. I mean, the newspaper story is real. It\u2019s what accompanies the newspaper story and how he supported his family, his nine kids at age 25, and how basically they were set for life, and he never worked a day in his life. That\u2019s what the e-mail here is about. You may have seen it. I mean, it\u2019s going around three years. I hadn\u2019t seen it.<\/p>\n

I delete this stuff. When I think something is spam, I zap it. <\/p>\n

Why should I talk about something that 90,000 other people know about and talked about? But when the Fish God sent it, the Fish God doesn\u2019t send me wacko, kook, extremist spam stuff like that 10 things that Lincoln said that he didn\u2019t say. So I have that. We\u2019ll get to that some time. It\u2019s amazing. This man, his children all nine are set for life, and their children are set for life. His brothers and sisters — there are 20 of them — they\u2019re set for life, and none of \u2019em have ever worked a day. <\/p>\n

Well, maybe here or there, but none of them have really had careers, they\u2019re just entrepreneurs. New Orleans lost one of its finest back in 2010. Anyway, if time permits, we\u2019ll get into that in great detail. Now I\u2019m told the story has actually been going around since 2006. That\u2019s how old it is. That\u2019s how old the story is. (interruption) So 2004 is when Larmondo “Flair” Allen was killed. So it\u2019s nine years ago, and the story, the entrepreneurial aspects, of this man are so profound the story has stayed around for nine years, almost 10.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
