CALLER: Rush, I\u2019ve-been-waiting-for-you-to-write-a-book dittos. I got my copy of the book today so I wanted to be one of the first ones to —<\/p>\n

RUSH: You got your copy?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I have it right here.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Where did you get it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I pre-ordered it on Amazon the day that you talked about it first.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You pre-ordered on Amazon and it was delivered today?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yep, this morning.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

RUSH: We\u2019re gonna have to send somebody and take it from you \u2019cause you\u2019re not supposed to have it until tomorrow.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I won\u2019t give away the ending.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, I\u2019m just kidding. Really, you got it already?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I did, and it\u2019s beautiful, every page is just beautiful.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh. You\u2019re making my day. Your call could not have come at a better time. I am so happy to hear you say that, \u2019cause we worked really hard putting this together. There are a lot of illustrations and even some pictures in the book, but —<\/p>\n

CALLER: It did bring about a request, though, that I have. My two-year-old boy listens to the show with me usually. He\u2019s home with me, and so he knows who you are, and he was very excited when the book came, too. And he said, “Let\u2019s read it. Let\u2019s read it.” But it\u2019s just too beautiful to give to a two-year-old and see what he does with it. So I think maybe there needs to be a preschool companion book.<\/p>\n

RUSH: A preschool companion book.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. The same, but for preschoolers.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You mean just something they could get M&M\u2019s fingerprints on and stuff without —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. Right. Still have the same story and the same pictures.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How about a laminated copy? <\/p>\n

CALLER: There you go.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/map>\n<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s a fascinating thought. You\u2019re gonna read it to your two-year-old?<\/p>\n

CALLER: We\u2019ll probably read a little bit, especially after I read it then I can maybe just summarize it and shorten the story a little bit for him. But he did, he wanted to read it right when we took it out of the box.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I\u2019ll tell you, that\u2019s great. I cannot tell you what great timing you have here with your call. You have totally changed my mind. Well, the immediate solution, Shelly, is to go buy five more copies, and give one to your two-year-old and then let him do with it what he does and you\u2019ll have three or four pristine copies as backups.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Good idea.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That is the simplest way. Even if I were to say to you today, “Okay, we will come out with a preschool edition,” that wouldn\u2019t happen for a while.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s true.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But you could get a backup copy tomorrow.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s true. Well, it\u2019s still on pre-order price today, right?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yep. It\u2019s still the pre-order price today. This is it. This is the last day to pre-order. That\u2019s a great point. Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or iTunes, iBooks, yeah, absolutely. Shelly, I\u2019ll tell you what I\u2019m gonna do. I want to put you on hold and I want you to give Mr. Snerdley a FedEx address that we can use, and I will send a copy and sign it to your son, okay?<\/p>\n
