RUSH: Here is Ron in Cincinnati. You\u2019re next on Open Line Friday. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, thank you very much for taking my call today.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: All right, hey, reason I\u2019m calling, what we\u2019re seeing here with people getting their new rate structures with liberals finally opening the mail or getting notifications that their rates are going up, what we are seeing is Economics 101 coming to roost to modern liberalism. So we\u2019re gonna see liberals who\u2019ve been defending it all along, now it\u2019s gonna hit their pocketbook and they\u2019re gonna have to defend it while they\u2019re shelling out more and you\u2019re gonna see \u2019em falling like dominoes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, why has it not hit their pocketbooks before this? There has been plenty of liberalism out there. We\u2019ve got a welfare state. We got anti-poverty programs. We\u2019ve got this and that. We\u2019ve got high taxes. Why is this the magic event that\u2019s gonna force —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Because this hits the individual, and there\u2019s no escaping it. If you\u2019re young, and if you are healthy and you\u2019re not quantifying for subsidies, you have to have insurance and your insurance policies, with this broad brush that they\u2019ve painted, the insurance companies are not able to maintain the same policy. You\u2019ve said it over and over again. But it\u2019s now at an individual level, and liberals as individuals, you know, they can speak as a group but once it\u2019s down to the individual and it hits their pocketbook individually, they\u2019re falling like dominoes. Kirsten Powers was a good example.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

RUSH: I think so. I think it is. And there are countless others. A lot of people getting these cancellation letters are people that voted for Obama. A lot of people getting their cancellation letters are people that believed him, that their premiums are gonna go down $2,500, and that their access to actual health care was gonna increase. They believed all of this. I think there is already — it\u2019s just not reported on — I think there is already a level of rage and anger out there over this. <\/p>\n

CALLER: I gotta tell you, now that people are starting to get these notifications, I\u2019m so looking forward to coming around to the folks that have been defending this all along and just asking \u2019em very benignly, “Hey, did you get any notification from your insurance policy? What\u2019s it doing?” And I\u2019ll betcha they\u2019re gonna be coming out of the woodwork with, “Oh, yeah, I got my notice.” “Well, how did that make you feel?” We\u2019re gonna have \u2019em changing left and right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You think that\u2019s gonna be their reaction? You think they\u2019re gonna give up on Obama that quickly? You think they\u2019re gonna turn and get mad and blame Obama that quickly?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, 150, 200 bucks a month increase, or more, you know, $900 increase, that\u2019s a house payment. Hell, yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t disagree with any of that. Ron, if you don\u2019t mind, you don\u2019t have to answer this, but I would like to know your age.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Forty-eight years old.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re 48? Okay. You have the enthusiasm of somebody 19 or 20 who\u2019s a true believer in figuring this out who doesn\u2019t yet have the experience to know how liberals think and operate, which is they don\u2019t think. They\u2019re not going to turn on the dime that you think and blame Obama. They\u2019re too loyal to the cause, and they hate us. You don\u2019t understand, that would mean giving you to your face, a victory. They are not going to let that happen. They\u2019re not gonna let you be satisfied by seeing them do a 180 and admit that they were wrong and Obama lied and that they\u2019re mad. They\u2019ll try to keep it to themselves and they\u2019ll try to come up with ways to blame the Republicans for this, and the shutdown. I\u2019m just trying to warn you, a little dose of reality. <\/p>\n
