CALLER: Hi, Rush. How are you?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, despite the way it sounds, I\u2019m actually pretty rotten.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, I\u2019m okay. I\u2019m fine. I\u2019m good. I\u2019m good.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m rotten, but before I get on to that, I just want to tell you how much I appreciate you and keeping me informed. I literally crave hearing the truth, and the only way I can get it is to turn on your program.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, thank you for that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I get so little of it elsewhere.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you. You flatter me. I appreciate it very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: You know what I wanted to say today is, I\u2019m just sick over listening to the media today and the reaction to what Senator Cruz did yesterday<\/a>. I don\u2019t think anybody, not even Republicans, or maybe, you know, there\u2019s a handful, maybe, that did hear him, but they didn\u2019t hear what he was saying. They may have listened, but they didn\u2019t hear.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes, they did. Yes, they did.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, he was speaking for me.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s right. They don\u2019t want to acknowledge that they heard it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They heard it. That\u2019s why they\u2019re upset with what he was doing. They heard every word he was saying. He was holding them up as culprits in this.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I agree.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And he was calling them out. Every Republican is on record as saying this is unacceptable, this is intolerable, and they\u2019re gonna do everything they could to keep it from happening. In the moment of truth, they\u2019re not. I\u2019ve got that. You know, I better start on the audio sound bites when we get back or I\u2019m gonna have two days in a row here. We\u2019ve got some good stuff here. (interruption) What? No, no. The amount of time the staff puts in putting them together, no, that\u2019s not a factor at all in whether or not I use them. No, no, no, no. (laughing) Snerdley said, “That\u2019s just mean.” I\u2019m just teasing. It\u2019s all a factor. It\u2019s all this pressure, gotta do this, gotta do that, \u2019cause a lot of people are working very hard putting this together. Some of it\u2019s really good.
