CALLER: Hey, Maha Rushie. What a pleasure to speak with you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: My sister Ruth told me to listen to your show back in 1998 and I\u2019m so glad she did. This brouhaha over the Obama clown<\/a> at the Missouri State Fair brought back memories of when we attended our son\u2019s graduation from the University of Missouri Columbia in May 2005. Some of the graduates used masking tape to spell out F blank blank blank Bush, and they spelled out the entire F-word, with grandparents and children in attendance, and we just ignored —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait. Where was this?<\/p>\n

CALLER: At Mizzou.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, but where, during the graduation ceremony?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

RUSH: But, but, but, but where? On the gowns? Where was the signage?<\/p>\n

CALLER: On the caps. On the caps.<\/p>\n

RUSH: On the caps during graduation, F-Bush?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir, so you could see it from the stands, you know, a nice little —<\/p>\n

RUSH: And let me guess, the administration at the University of Missouri didn\u2019t have a problem with it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, not at all. Nothing was said, no diplomas were held back, no apologies demanded, nothing, because making fun of President Bush was pretty much the national pass time.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So the governor of Missouri didn\u2019t have anything to say about it? The lieutenant governor of Missouri didn\u2019t have anything to say about it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right, Matt Blunt. Who was a Republican, right? So it just shows Obama\u2019s skin color is not the issue. It is how thin it is. This president cannot take any criticism, and he cannot lead. If they are sending these clowns to sensitivity training, it\u2019s just…<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s like the reeducation camps that the ChiComs have.<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: Oh, yes, sir. Have you ever seen the movie The Inner Circle <\/a>with Tom Hulce, and it\u2019s set during the Stalin era? He\u2019s a believer in Stalin and he\u2019s just an everyday guy, and he accidentally spills his tea or coffee on the newspaper with Stalin\u2019s picture, and his niece, who has been brought up in the system, she looks at him and she says, “Don\u2019t worry, uncle, I won\u2019t tell anyone,” and that\u2019s just kind of how the feeling is right now for me in this country.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, I know. <\/p>\n

CALLER: And, sir, we lived in Russia for two years. So I see how those people had it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Really? When did you live in Russia?<\/p>\n

CALLER: We were there from 2002 to 2004.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, they were on the road to capitalism.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh yeah, but you just saw, you know, how bad the system had been —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — for those people, the elderly begging on the streets.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it\u2019s an interesting point that you make. It\u2019s not the color of his skin, it\u2019s how thin it is. You know, that is really true. Not just his, but every one of his supporters. They can\u2019t take a joke. They can\u2019t take a punch. Really, this reminded me of the absolute lunacy that takes place in a country where the militant Islamists go crazy over a cartoon featuring Mohammed.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, you hit the nail on the head.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The left in this country is behaving exactly like these militant Islamists do.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yep. Exactly.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

RUSH: But he does have a thin skin. You don\u2019t criticize this guy, he\u2019s above it, you don\u2019t laugh at him, you don\u2019t make jokes about him, you do nothing but revere and respect him. Here\u2019s a guy, he is a constitutional scholar, so smart, we can\u2019t see his grades. <\/line>CALLER: Yep. Toe the line or else.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. You know, your story about the graduation, there were books and movies on assassinating Bush, and so forth. It really is a one-way street. All these 25 years, at what point is this gonna bottom out and we\u2019re gonna rebound from it? At what point is everybody gonna say, “Unacceptable,” and we\u2019re nowhere near it. You know, I\u2019ve naively been hoping for all these years that at some point we\u2019d reach a bottom and begin to start to rebound from it, but we\u2019re not. There is no bottom. There is no gutter. We haven\u2019t reached it yet, as far as the left is concerned. It\u2019s not just double standards. It\u2019s much worse than that. <\/p>\n

But I really, Marty, your comment is profound, that it\u2019s not his skin color, it\u2019s how thin it is. Although it is the skin color, at the root of it, as far as his supporters and the politically correct, that\u2019s what it\u2019s all about, but it is in fact also how thin skin is. This guy just can\u2019t take it. You know, the country is being roiled over something like this, people losing their jobs forever, being suspended forever, sensitivity training, do you realize most presidents would call a halt to this? They\u2019d go out at a press conference or issue a statement and say, “Can everybody calm down here?” The president would be bigger than this, and the president would make it look like this is much ado about nothing. This guy soaks it up. This guy acts like he thinks it\u2019s entirely warranted that this clown\u2019s life should be ruined because of this, no doubt.
