RUSH: A verdict has been reached, we don\u2019t know what it is yet, in the Gosnell case. And it\u2019s gonna be very interesting to see if the Drive-Bys will cover the verdict, given how studiously they have Gosnelled the actual case. Do you know what to Gosnell is? What is to Gosnell? What does that mean? No. No. Gosnelled is the New Media term meaning ignored or aborted with prejudice. To Gosnell is to ignore or abort with prejudice. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

So let\u2019s see if the media Gosnells the verdict here. I doubt that they will. They\u2019re hoping and praying — you know what they\u2019re hoping for in this verdict, don\u2019t you? Damn right. They\u2019re excited. A couple jurors said earlier today, “We\u2019re hung on a couple of counts.” They would love nothing more than there to be an acquittal. I guaran-damn-tee you. You think they\u2019ll be disappointed if there\u2019s a conviction? We\u2019ll just have to wait and see. Time will tell. Planned Parenthood would love an acquittal. <\/p>\n

(interruption)<\/p>\n

What do you mean, how could anybody want an acquittal on this? You don\u2019t know the abortion industry if you don\u2019t know how they\u2019re looking at this. They\u2019re scared to death of this.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Folks, I have a couple of stories here today about polling that are really fascinating — and at the same time, I wonder whether or not they\u2019re true. For example, here\u2019s the Associated Press story from two days ago. This thing was published on Saturday. The headline: “Here\u2019s What 90% of Americans Agree On.” Ninety percent of Americans believe in God. Ninety percent of Americans are very patriotic. Ninety percent of Americans consider preventing terrorism a very important foreign policy goal. Ninety percent of Americans admire those who get rich by working hard. Nine out of 10 Americans think society should ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed. <\/p>\n

Ninety percent of Americans think it\u2019s important to get more than a high school education. Ninety percent of Americans favor teaching sex education in public schools. Ninety percent find birth control morally acceptable. Ninety percent believe cloning humans would be morally wrong. Ninety percent believe it\u2019s wrong for married people to have affairs. Ninety percent are interested in keeping up with national affairs. Ninety percent believe it\u2019s their duty to always vote. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Now, Snerdley is sneering at this through the glass wall separating the broadcast complex from the engineering complex. (interruption) Well, that\u2019s the thing. If this were true, there wouldn\u2019t be a Democrat Party. At least, if this were true, the Democrat Party wouldn\u2019t be winning elections. But, on the other hand, if it is true — or even remotely true — does it not illustrate how we are being governed by a genuine minority and being lied to by the Drive-Bys each and every day? <\/p>\n

Now, there\u2019s another story that I\u2019ve found that goes along with this. “Gallup Poll: 58% of Americans Oppose All or Most Abortions — 57% of women want all or most abortions illegal as do 57% of young Americans under the age of 34. … 59% of independents and even 43% of Democrats oppose all or most abortions. … 74% of the public is paying little or no attention to the trial of Kermit Gosnell.” Now, you have to believe that, because the media hasn\u2019t been paying any attention to the trial of Kermit Gosnell. <\/p>\n

Wouldn\u2019t it be great if 90% did believe in God? Wouldn\u2019t it be great if 90% were patriotic? Wouldn\u2019t it be great if 90% did consider preventing terrorism a very important goal? Wouldn\u2019t it be great if 90% did admire those who get rich by working hard? That one, with all the class envy, can\u2019t be. Obama wouldn\u2019t get to first base if that were true. If 90% of the people this country appreciated and understood and admired hard work, Obama\u2019d be toast.<\/p>\n

Obama\u2019s out impugning hard work. He\u2019s targeting it, he\u2019s punishing it — or at least those who have become successful by virtue of it, by saying, “They\u2019ve benefited unfairly. They\u2019re the winners of life\u2019s lottery!” I don\u2019t know, folks. I find it hard to believe. Why would the AP put that out? Why in the world? Are they just trying to frustrate us? I mean, it\u2019s a poll, and that will count against their accuracy. Nobody\u2019s gonna remember it, I guess. But, I mean, it flies in the face of reality every day.
