RUSH: You want to hear something totally outrageous? This is gonna tick some of you people off, I can\u2019t tell you how much. Netflix has decided to raise everybody\u2019s monthly charge to pay for those who can\u2019t afford it. What an outrage is that. Netflix. This would be like beer going up five dollars a case to pay for beer for those who can\u2019t afford it. This is not taxes on the rich. This is not price increases on the rich. No. Netflix is raising the monthly charge to help pay for those who can\u2019t afford it. Now, that will be far more understood than the payroll tax. Don\u2019t doubt me on this, folks. Tell people their Netflix is going up to help people who can\u2019t afford to pay for it, they\u2019re not gonna put up with that. Tell \u2019em taxes are going up on the rich.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. Mission partially accomplished based on my e-mail. Netflix is not raising their prices for any reason. I made that up to see what kind of reaction that it would get, because I\u2019m trying to illustrate a point here. And if I would have said, “Well, can you imagine if Netflix would say they\u2019re raising prices to pay for people that can\u2019t afford it.” <\/p>\n

“Oh, yeah, interesting.” <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

But if I come out and actually say, “Guess what I just heard?” Then people are gonna react to it the way I thought and predicted that they would. Based on my e-mail, people are outraged at this in my e-mail, more than they get outraged over anything Obama does. Well, the stock price, there hasn\u2019t been enough time for the stock price to be affected, but I was just kidding, I was just teasing, just making a point. Now, if I\u2019d let the program end and not wrapped this up, I\u2019d have been in for it. I\u2019ve made that mistake. I\u2019ve let something go overnight like that before. <\/p>\n

They\u2019re not raising their price. It was an illustration. No more of an illustration saying that what I think is gonna totally upset Obama is if an open mic catches him dissing Timberlake\u2019s latest CD. Here we are in the middle of our idiocracy, the people get livid at Obama over that, while he\u2019s taken away their freedoms and raising the cost of living and couldn\u2019t care less, let him diss Timberlake, and that\u2019s it. Okay, well, let Netflix raise their price so that other people don\u2019t have to pay for it, you\u2019d have hell to pay. Same thing if Anheuser-Busch said beer is gonna cost more for those of you who buy it so that others who can\u2019t afford it can drink it, be the same thing. Netflix has not raised their price. Maybe they did after I gave them clearance. No, they haven\u2019t. We\u2019re just toying here. Illustrating absurdity, something this program has long been known for.<\/p>\n
