RUSH: By the way, The Politico is saying that the White House is saying that it was Janet Napolitano\u2019s decision to release the prisoners. “The White House and the Department of Homeland Security were unaware of Immigration Customs and Enforcement\u2019s decision to release detainees,” until the agency announced it. So not only did Obama not do it, he didn\u2019t even know that it was done until he read about it in the paper. Yeah. And did you know that Janet Reno was solely responsible for the Waco invasion? Bill Clinton had nothing to do with that. Janet Reno herself ordered the tanks and the military equipment into Waco at the Branch Davidian complex and torched it. Clinton said so. (Clinton impression) “You gotta ask the attorney general about that. I didn\u2019t know anything about that \u2019til I saw that in the paper. In fact, I found out about it the same time you did.” And now that\u2019s what Obama\u2019s doing. <\/p>\n

The White House and the Department of Homeland Security were unaware of Immigration and Customs Enforcement\u2019s decision to release illegal immigrants before sequestration until the agency announced it<\/a>. So not only did Obama not do it, he didn\u2019t know about it until he read it in the paper. See, folks, he\u2019s not even in charge of his own Department of Homeland Security. He\u2019s not even in charge of his own Immigration amd Customs Enforcement agency. All of this stuff happens out there, he doesn\u2019t know anything about it. And so now Obama is gonna be fighting the release of these illegal alien prisoners, just like he\u2019s fighting the Republicans who are trying to increase the number of people who don\u2019t have jobs. It\u2019s amazing.<\/p>\n

What was it, about an hour after my monologue on the prisoner release the White House denies it, after the story has been around all day? By the way, you know, Obama didn\u2019t know about Benghazi, either. He didn\u2019t know about the prisoner release. He didn\u2019t know about Benghazi. I wonder if Napolitano did that.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019ll tell you, this story about the prisoner release was out all day. It\u2019s been in the news all day. But here we make a big deal out of it, and in less than an hour, the White House puts out a denial. But it\u2019s even better than what I originally thought. Here is the actual denial of any involvement from the spokeskid, Jay Carney. Here\u2019s what he said, the White House press secretary. He said, quote, “This was a decision…” to release these prisoners, 30,000 illegal alien prisoners.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“This was a decision made by career officials at ICE, without any input from the White House, as a result of fiscal uncertainty over the continuing resolution as well as possible sequestration.” So it wasn\u2019t even Big Sis. It wasn\u2019t even Napolitano. It was “career officials at ICE,” and it wasn\u2019t just about the sequester. It was about the continuing resolution. That doesn\u2019t expire \u2019til the end of March, and it\u2019s only February 27. So that\u2019s why the prisoners were released.<\/p>\n

Obama didn\u2019t know anything about it. A bunch of career bureaucrats did it, and what Carney tried to say was that there\u2019s so much panic in the bureaucracies over the upcoming spending cuts — these massive spending cuts — that they\u2019re practically panicking, and they\u2019re doing things that nobody is aware of until they do \u2019em. Man! I mean, the lengths to which they are now going to try to convince people that Barack Obama has literally no association with this government whatsoever is stunning.<\/p>\n

He literally has no connection to actions taken by this government at all. I\u2019m telling you, Castro wouldn\u2019t put up with this. If there were bureaucrats doing things on their own, freelancers like this, they would be in jail. Castro\u2019d put them in prison. So would have Nicolae Ceausescu. So would have Saddam Hussein. You don\u2019t have dictators with their bureaucrats running around making moves like this. (interruption) No, no, no, no, no, no! I did not say Obama\u2019s a dictator. I was talking about those other guys.<\/p>\n

But I\u2019m telling you that this is profound. This is stunning. The lengths to which they will go to dissociate Barack Obama from anything this government does knows now boundaries, there are no limits. It wasn\u2019t Napolitano; it wasn\u2019t Obama. It was “career officials at ICE,” and they\u2019re not just worried about the sequester. They\u2019re worried about the continuing resolution! That\u2019s the government shutdown at the end of March. That\u2019s not even gonna happen for a month.<\/p>\n

The bottom line is, there\u2019s no reason whatsoever to let people out of jail. Even if the sequester happens we\u2019re not talking about enough money to have this happen. There is no reason on earth, no fiscal reason, no budgetary reason. There are obviously reasons why these prisoners have been released. I think one of the reasons is, how the hell are we gonna round \u2019em back up now? They\u2019re not on leashes. I bet they don\u2019t all have electronic tracking devices.<\/p>\n

What are we gonna do?<\/p>\n

“Okay, look, we got our budget now so you guys come back!” Is that what they\u2019re gonna do? Organizing for Action, the Obama website, will put out a PSA: “All of you released illegal alien prisoners, it\u2019s time now to return to jail”? They\u2019re out there, and that\u2019s not bad as far as President Obama\u2019s concerned either. Chaos and havoc? It\u2019s made order. Jay Carney also claimed that the prisoners that have been released are “low-risk, non-criminal detainees.”<\/line><\/p>\n

How does he even know? It was the ICE people, the bureaucrats that did it. How does he even know who was released? The New York Times says that they were hardened criminals. The New York Times reported that one of these detainees released had been convicted for assault and battery and child abuse and violating probation. He\u2019s from Jamaica. That\u2019s just one of them that the New York Times found. Is Carney saying child abuse is nothing? <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
