RUSH: I want you to listen to this. This is KAKE-TV in Wichita, K-A-K-E. Correspondent Susan Peters interviewed President Obama. Now, he\u2019s not talking to the White House press corps. He\u2019s only doing local media. So this is Wichita television, and she said, “What do you say, Mr. President, to Kansas workers in the aviation industry who\u2019ve been laid off or may be laid off in the future?” Now, this is about Obama, shortly after he became president, saying, “You don\u2019t just get on your corporate plane and go to Vegas anymore. Those days are over.”<\/p>\n

So he did damage to the corporate jet market, and his economy is doing damage to the corporate jet market, and they have a lot of those jobs there. Cessna, for example, is in Wichita, among others. So she wants to know what the president would say to aviation industry employees who have been laid off or who might be laid off. Now, listen to this…<\/line><\/p>\n

OBAMA: What we don\u2019t want to do i-is to give somebody who\u2019s buyin\u2019 a corporate jet an extra tax break that ordinary people can\u2019t get. Uhhh, because they don\u2019t need it, and that\u2019s not the reason that they buy a corporate jet, I promise ya. I haven\u2019t gone through an airport in a long time, and the reason people buy corporate jets is it\u2019s extremely convenient and they can afford it, and they don\u2019t need an extra tax break, especially at a time when we\u2019re trying to reduce the deficit. Somethin\u2019s gotta give.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How dad-blamed insensitive can you get?<\/line><\/p>\n

He doesn\u2019t even answer her question about employees in the aviation industry. He basically tells her and the employees listening, “I don\u2019t care. What I\u2019m out to do is punish the private jet owner! They got more than they need. They don\u2019t need a tax break, especially with our deficit the way it is. We gotta bring the deficit down! I run into a lot of these people. They\u2019re not buying these corporate jets because of tax rates.” Have you ever heard of depreciation, Mr. President? If you don\u2019t… Eh, he doesn\u2019t know — and more than that, he doesn\u2019t care. He\u2019s just playing class envy here. He\u2019s gonna make sure that everybody knows that he\u2019s got it in for these people flying on corporate jets.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s got it in for the people who have enough money to buy one.<\/p>\n
